I'm studying for a 2 year degree (AAS) in Mechatronics right now. It combines elements of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, fluid power, and controls engineering, among other things. My education is completely paid for (and then some) by VA benefits (dad was honorably discharged from the army as a Captain), the GI Bill, and CEP. I'm pretty excited for next semester, since we'll start going more deeply into hydraulics, robotics, and PLC programming.

Started in aerospace engineering in college. Didn't like it too much, so ended up jumping between majors my junior year (comp engi, mech engi, physics). Ended up switching over to planetary science/ geophysics as didn't want to end up working for a defense contractor when I got out of college.
Now work for a company that works with oceanographic data/systems and do surveying type work. Considering leaving for an civil engineering job for higher pay

Secondary Education with a focus in social studies.
