That's gotta be the craziest hodgepodge of parts I've ever seen on a rifle. On the one hand the upper and lower receivers are from an M16A1 (60-70's era) the buffer assembly and stock are of the M4A1 variant (T4 style) the barrel is the standard 14.25" M4 length but appears to be the old skinny M16A1 profile cut back to convert to M4 with new gas port cut to allow the FSB to be moved rearward (M4 barrel is a heavier profile with relief for M203 mounting, profile and relief not present on your rifle) and although I see what appears to be a sling I see that your front sling mount is missing. Is that a training rifle or what is actually issued for deployments?? Perhaps a pic of the ejection port with bolt closed or muzzle?

Not trying to throw any hate here but if what you say is true and this is the old bitch they issued you for deployment it doesn't hurt to pop er open and take a look under the hood to see what's going on. Idk how they do shit in other countries but over in the states anyway it can pay off to check all equipment you're handed. For example if you find yourself in possession of an MP's rifle it can pay to know that some MP's are issued XM15/AR15's which are semi only, so if the opportunity presents itself and you go thumbing for the giggle switch it's not gonna be there which could be a real bitch depending. If it's burst it'll have a cam wheel which looks like a little ratchet, good to know because, as mentioned before, if you put it to what you believe is auto and have already done a 2 round burst you'll be disappointed when you grab a fist full expecting it to keep chugging and you only get one pop before it wants a reset. Autos won't have the cam wheel just the big ole paddle auto sear and 2 disconnectors. Personally I'd be a bit upset if I wasn't at least told how my rifle operated in training let alone not allowed to experience it on the range before taking it with me on a deployment.
