Not a lot is bothering me actually, I've sort of got my life together. I've got a job recently, got a place to crash, gonna look for a room to rent or maybe rent my own room soon. Also I have beers, ciggies and some money in the bank. First time in my life I've felt pretty good.
I mean I'm lonely I guess, I never grew out of the awkward teenage phase around girls.

obv. lose weight, it will make you more confident. I'm pretty skinny, but when it comes to something like this, I try to tell a lot of ppl that I'm going to do it. Then I feel like I have to deliver and can't pussy out.

I think the first impression ppl get of me is similar. Depressed, maybe a little pissed off. I try to just generally smile, hold eyecontact (wich took me some time to get used to) and generally be nice. Make them feel like you care about them and they will be more likley to return the favor

OP how do you get hired in the industry?
I'm studying computer science and working part time as a charity fundraiser to pay rent/bills/not starve. I'd love to work in the field because I love programming. Any jobs for first years?
