Any medfags here? I'm sort of an alcoholic. Recently started getting a lot of pain in stomach/liver/kidneys. Saw a dr, had blood/urine tests, i dunno what its called but my liver blood test came 65, should be under 40. Dr pulled out last 5 year of tesults, all have this reading above 60. Dr said nothing bad results with anything except this liver thing. But why do I have all this pain in my stomach/right side/itchy skin?

Have you had an abdominal US?
Get tested for Hep C just to make sure. It sounds like you're in the early stages of cirrhosis. Your AST is elevated, which could be happening due to alcoholic cirrhosis. Get help for the alcohol consumption too, trying to detox yourself will be impossible.

On a side note has anyone here just one day randomly gave up on drinking without really wanting or trying to? For the past 25 days I haven't drank anything nor have I felt the motivation to. I just kind of stopped. I feel good and all physically but the craving just kind of evaporated into thin air?

That was my situation. I was going poorer and approaching broke and just kind of stopped drinking like maybe my brain realized that food and rent was more important. The thing is I got a job and got paid and stuff, I still don't have that motivation to drink.

I have something similar but I think it was from moderate drinking and taking pain killers. I stopped all that now but levels are still high. Dr thinks I have fatty liver so I need to get an ultrasound. Anyways, how can I help to bring these levels down?

Only asked because I have had an ache in my side going on 2-3 years now. Doctor originally thought it was to do with some muscles around my ribs but I know it's my liver.

It might be that you just got some gallstones... the liver just don't fuck up in a short time period.
If you Drink a Lot your liver Has to work a Lot so the Level of Your got and y-gt will Rise...
If there would be some damage of the kidneys the pain would be in your back.
If theres a Strong pain on your left upper stomach you have to be careful because it cold be a pankreatitis

Im abit fucked, I developed the ability to like just binge like crazy, I can go through a litre of rum/vodka/whiskey in a night, pass out, wake up start to feel ill and drink again, then another bottle of rum or whatever.
I dont really like how alchohol makes me feel during or after, and when you see drunk people when you are sober its just disgusting really.
I think im at a stage now where I need to change and dont just want to.
Also when I drink I do all sorts of crazy shit, like im trying to push the high to its max. i.e. I abuse other drugs too, atm I am not even that bothered by weed, but if I drink I want a smoke, if there is coke around I will do it ALL!! if theres a few rocks on the menu I will smoke some crack, valium, mdma. yuk.
Sober me hates that guy so much, but when its so easy to turn to alchohol in society, all the other drugs follow.
