I used to drink admiral Nelson rum or cheap vodkas, but one of my exs loved whiskey and got me into it. It's not that I didn't like it before, I just never drank it. I was drinking rum or vodka from 15-18, because face it, those are your typical teenager liquors that everybody always gets. A friend of mine bought a bottle of Kauffman vodka. And, man, it's fucking delicious! I had no idea vodka could taste so nice.
But at UK£70 a bottle, I doubt I'm ever gonna have it again.
But... storing any vodka in the freezer makes it a nice tasting sipping drink. It goes really thick and very cold, and the flavor becomes more subtle.

What's with all the hate? UV blue is 35% abv, no weaker than Grey Goose or Belvedere, it's just flavored so it's more enjoyable to drink, rather than tasting like straight isopropyl. Plus it's cheap. If I'm going to a social drinking get-together, I'll buy two pints and sip them throughout the night, and I'm usually pretty drunk by 11PM or midnight. Only costs me about $10 for two pint-sized bottles. Not bad at all when it's frosty. Tastes like blue raspberry snow cone syrup. Definitely not a sophisticated alcohol, but it's no Bartles & James or Smirnoff Ice.
