But i was driven mad by pain and afraid to go to the doctor. I had read that you should *never* attempt to lance them yourself, it is very dangerous. Despite that i did it anyway with a surgical needle and was successful. It took two minutes for this awful mustard looking shit that smelled like death to drain.
The pain was immediately gone, and it healed in a matter of days. At the time i had no insurance and couldn't afford any treatment and still pay my bills.

I rarely sat down in any form, I walked to work even though I have 2 cars. I made chair thing out of wood and squishy foam so I could play video games comfortably with zero pressure on my lower back.
It took damn near 2 years but it went from draining daily and sometimes so painful I called in at work to me now being about to able to play video games for 12+ hours on a normal chair. Doing the research and shit I learned about myself, I lost 45 lbs, eat better, drink more water, move more, and use organic/fair trade/hippie whatever soap, MASSIVE fucking difference with good soap.

The surgery was basically him just cutting it open, removing all the goop. After that he just left the wound open and I cleaned it daily. Took around 3 weeks for it to heal, haven't had any issue with it since.

This is not a pilonidal cyst you fucking morons, it's clearly infected so it's a pilonidal abscess. Try antibiotics first to calm the infection down while waiting to see a surgeon for an incision and drainage. Also, to all those brainless idiots who state 'staph' infection, you can't fucking tell from a photo what organism is causing an infection.

Had similar case a year ago after falling in my tailbone funny. Hurt to sit down so I took a push pin off the ground, hear sterilized it and stabbed cyst. The puss kept oozing out I had to sit on a towel for the rest of the day just to make sure it didn't bleed through later. Got all the puss out and applied alcohol and antibiotic cream. Healed up a few days later and never any problems since.

i had abcess like that couple months ago. Hurt like hell. I went to hospital and doctor drained it out. I had some antibiotics and went home. Worst case scenario is that it has develepod a fistula to your colon and the abscess relapses/comes back.. Then it need more advanced surgery.
