Hand destruction is what warlock has, discard stuff from your hand for more powerful cards.

I saw a while ago a theorycraft on an infinite combo with tentacles for arms, those pirates that reduce weap mana costs and questing adventurer... But super hard to pull.

Exists but it revives a random minion from your graveyard and not one of your choice, I used to play a gimmick giant priest with it and it was decent in it. (Giants are cards that have their mana costs reduced through certain conditions, example -1 for each card in hand, board, damage your hero has taken etc)

there's no re-animation mechanic unless you count N'zoth. There isn't really any interaction with a graveyard. Usually it's all "random minion that died" or something with the same turn.
warlock has cards that are stronger in stats but throw away his cards, hurt him or benefit his opponent. That's generally the theme of warlock but nobody plays it that way because it's basically losing the game.
As such, they take the cards that have small drawbacks like dealing damage to your hero and use them in conjunction with neutral cards to make a kind of archetype that is good. Class cards are spells, weapons and minions. Neutral cards are only minions. Generally each class is limited to playing in one way or another but it's only to prevent gamebreaking combos. You're usually free to do whatever.

And you attack the opponent, and they choose how they block, if at all

hand destruction translates to mill in hearthstone
you can hold 10 cards in your hand, rogue and druid use this to overflow your hand with cards. drawing additional cards is burning and destroying them. Fatigue is when you run out of cards. each deck has 30 cards maximum. When you run out you take n+1 damage n being the number of times you tried to draw a card without having any.
Oh also you automatically draw one card at the start of every turn. So if you reach fatigue you take 1 damage + 1 for every time you tried to draw and every time you drew at the start of your turn.
Basically some decks stall out the game hardcore and fast forward this fatigue mechanic.

Alright... before saying anything else I will have to say that in Hearthstone you pick your attack targets, but there are minions with taunt that must be attacked before attacking a minion without taunt or the enemy player.
No reanimation deck was ever top-tier, there was a decent ish deck that consisted of hiding Kel'Thuzad behind taunts and stuff.
