i have found Mexicans to be hardworking family oriented people. Sure there are the cholo hood rat types but they are a tiny minority. The men have a sense of pride in their work that a lot of Americans don't anymore. Their dependability and work ethic are the reason they get hired, not because they are cheap. As a person who has watched my dad hire/fire dozens of people over the years I can promise this is the case.
Honestly most people's grandfathers have more in common with a Mexican migrant worker than with a young white kid. Strong work ethic, grew up in poverty, etc.
