Is Bernie Sanders the final solution for America's problems?
socialism doesn't solve shit. Just look at Europe. Only place it seems to work is sparsely populated places with historically amicable people. Best solution would be a Libertarian candidate who is fiscally conservative.
I understand that he'd be doing the right thing for the people of America (free public college, health care, etc.), and I agree with such a plan, but are the people claiming that he'll add another 18 trillion to the national debt correct? Please explain if not.
Look at -what- about Europe faggot? By most stats western European countries are literally paradise next to you hick inbred sisterfuckers.
You're one of those breitbart cucks who believes in the alt-right wet dreams of rape epidemics and shit, aren't you? Top fucking kek, you are living proof that your education system sucks rancid cock.
he lost the new york primary it doesn't matter anymore he can't be elected
Sparsely populated places?
What you mean to say is it works well on a regional basis. So for it to succeed in America we must treat the nation as a series of regions like states. Oh we already do that.
KEK. you keep thinking that, achmed
capitalism pure is poisen to humanity. when the system only reward the strongest and ruthless one, those oppressed by this system will one day rise and fight back with tooth and nails. Socialism pure isnt much better when the weakst and laziest person will drag the entire society down. You need to find a balance between rewarding the hard working one without leaving the weak one completely behind. As for now USA is heading way too much towards capitalism that will result in civil unrest one day and Bernie is trying to prevent this by leading USA back to the middle way. So yes, Bernie Sanders provide part of the solution. pic unrelated
if it's so great, why is the EU falling apart? Sure it'l be better for the fucks sitting on their asses or just being bad at life, but it's worse for the rest of us. A baker should be able to charge whatever the fuck he wants for bread. I shouldn't have to pay for others failing. If you don't succeed, you don't reproduce and you die. Natural selection is still the best way to go.
But I actually think he'd be a good president, because he'd have the most restrained foreign policy, and because he won't be able to get any of his socialist programs through a Republican congress.
Yes anon, keep ignoring your problems. You still live in a paradise!
no, like total population. The downfall of socialism is human intervention when it's being applied. It works in places like Canada or small countries like Norway because the people are mostly nice and there isn't too much going on politically.
it works in those places because they get healthcare and innovative products from america and china. Those socialist governments are doing everything they can to disguise stagnation.
explain to me why we can't be restrained in our foreign policy decisions. I'd rather just stay away from the whole middle east thing. Us being over there is exactly what they want. The only hard part is getting rid of our world police title.
And to which i say, we cant. Catch 22, go in to take care of isis, it will fuck other stuff up, but we cant not go in because we need to fix it. I mean, we could just stop, but they would severely hurt our international relations and we could be pushed out of the international marketplace
this. favorite quote,
Democracy is not what these people need, it's not even what they want
America has been trying to install democracy in Nations for a century
And it hasn't worked one time!
These countries don't have the basic building blocks to support a democracy
Little things like "we ought to be tolerant of those who disagree with us"
"We ought to be tolerant of those who worship a different God than us"
That a journalist ought to be able to disagree with the president
And you think that you can just march into these countries based on some
Fundamentalist religious principals, drop a few bombs, topple a dictator
And start a democracy?!!
Give me a break."~Jonathan Irons
In that case why is US not taking all the syr refuge in since you fucker caused all the mess with your retarded iraq invasion. Why is Europe paying for your shit. Oh wait its because you fucker are dumb tyranny. Strong bully outside but scared pussy inside. Just keep going with your shit and see your nation fall apart day by day. You re already poor as shit and your economy is only hold together by china. You got water problem because of your retarded fracking and you dont even have a working healthcare system. you are living on borrowed time bro.
the middle east thing is a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and if it gets worse we all lose. Russia, china, north korea are all pushing their boundries with us because Obama is so weak and pandering. We need a leader that other countries know wont take any bullshit. Like the major shift we had after lilly ass Carter got replaced by Reagan
not a paradise but sure better than usa. We dont worry about getting shoot by police. We have clean water and no fracking here. We have less crimerate, less poverty, less illness and we are not china little bitch who need to beg for money to prevent our goverment to shut down.
1 we have more Iraqi and Afgani refugees than anyone, we dont want the fucking syrians 2 we pay for europes shit. 3 nothing is falling apart 4 china's economy is being held up by us buying their shit, and they're currency is still plummeting 4 the fracking issue was from a couple companies that did some illegal stuff, not a nationwide problem 5 our healthcare is expensive but we have the best treatments in the world and the most research
I'm an amerifag, and you don't have to worry about being shot by the police if you don't do anything wrong. It's really blown up by the media who are trying to expose the whites. However, I'm currently living in Europe, but the quality of living is better in the states, but in general, I'd prefer Europe as a future home (only 18).
> let's go Sweden
Lol typical Trump hate rhetoric. HE GON RUIN ERRTHANG
the only people getting shot by police are criminals, our water is cleaner than the sewage contaminated shit you drink in europe, our poor people do better than most eropeans, and china would fall apart without the US, not the other way around. They own US treasury bonds because it keeps they're shit accounts stable, not to prop us up
1. The working people of china are poorer than us, the government and upper class are rich.
2. The syrian refugees are pussies for fleeing instead of fighting for what they believe in
3. The Iraq war was a big mistake, our leaders and people were blinded by the tragedy of 9/11
4. Our economy is held together by its participants; we do have a complicated economical and political situation with China, but we could function without them.
5. What the fuck are you even talking about with the water thing? Even if there is one case, I assure you it is not a common thing, although fracking is bad and should be stopped by oil company executives.
6. Fuck obamacare, Healthcare is simple: doctors have skills, you pay a company so that if you need to use a doctor's skills, they cover it. If you can't afford it, you are obviously not successful and die. Natural selection.
Don't worry about police. Not criminal
We have plenty of clean water.
Fracking is safe.
We have less crime rate of no dindus
Again. We have less poverty if dindus
People aren't dying in the street.
And China's economy relies on our spending. Seriously where do you get your information?
Fracking isnt bad, just a few companies did it in areas they werent supposed to so it blew up in the media. it's the reason our gas prices plummeted and no one is in danger from it.
The Guardian newspaper is runs database,The Counted, which tracked US killings by police and other law enforcement agencies in 2015, and counted 1140 killed, with rates per million of 2.92 for "white" people, 7.2 for "black", and 3.5 for "hispanic/latino", 1.34 for "Asian/Pacific Islander", and 3.4 for "Native American". The database can be viewed by state, gender (1086 male, 53 female, 1 nonconforming) , race/ethnicity, age, classification (e.g., "gunshot"), and whether the person killed was armed (853 armed, 224 unarmed). You either have a cop problem or a crime problem. Probably a little from both.
socialism + capitalism = social market economy.
people tend to confuse the term socialism with communism, but the sense in which I use it is to describe countries that are politically socialist.
best treatment in the world for those who can afford it? Great society. The rich get the best the poor hold everything together. That has allways worked well in mankind history. right?
>eurotards and bernout redditors think europe is socialist
Implying the healthcare private sector innovates anything other than designer drugs for sad people. The government funds the real research at the university level. That's where real discoveries have been made for 70+ years.
we have the best doctors, hospitals, procedures, policies, and equipment for everyone. There are a handful of things like cancer treatments that are prohibitively expensive, but those aren't even available in other countries, they have to fly to the US for it.
my base philosophy is a balance that is more in favor of natural selection than help everyone. My belief is that the government should only regulate what they need to, and let the market decide the rest (free market capitalism). Social policies shouldn't be government, they should be people helping other people without being forced to.
I've lived in both, and you're right. Americans think that it's just one giant warzone, but the larger cities do have the appearance of being more secure than large cities in America
oh but it does. you think your economy and society will work with only the top 10% of the richest people? Or are you trying to say the beggar on the street can afford a Cancer treatment in the USA (he could in Canada though)?
>the european caliphate
we would have to build factories, but the main thing China holds over us are bonds. If we somehow managed to break relations with China, either a war would ensue and we could enact a default by toppling a government (I'm out of my area of knowledge on that one so don't hold me to it), pay them in installments (lol), or find another solution.
And failures. The government is the only organization with the resources to truly innovate. Innovation takes too much risk for private enterprise, hence the stagnation we've seen in cancer drugs and hundreds of other primary care treatments. You should be grateful for your government despite it's shortcomings.
Europe is so socialist that almost every country is right / extreme right.
Honnestly, USA is more socialist than Europe on a LOT of things (politics, freedom of speech, artistic freedom, weapon owning, drugs, etc...), but yeah, sandniggers, eurofag, blablablabla.
>capitalism pure is poisen to humanity. (sic)
Yes, any "pure" political ideology applied to the state as a whole is bound to fail. The nordic countries are (statistically) far better off because they coupled freedom of economy with socialist policies that would benefit both the people and the state. Introduce socialist based (not pure socialism, I'll agree with you on that, because that isn't entirely realistic) programs. Pump socialism (or even try to strike a balance) into a dirt poor society and you'll end up with dirt poor results. Introduce it into a rich society and it will greatly benefit the poor, and to a lesser extent the middle class at the expense of the rich.
The "rich" are paying the majority of the taxes in the US. Why? Because of US capitalism, that's why.
Sanders does strike a balance between the two, but I still don't agree with his blanket statements (free shit) without clearly stating reformation policies to the programs that he wants to make free in order to reduce government cost. Look at the cost of college education, a lot of the raising costs are due to the increased demand in competent administration (deans, presidents, etc.). Does Sanders' address this? Not that I'm aware of. Does he want "free" education? Yes. The US does few things well, and higher education is one of them. Take this away and quality might drop.
I'm a strong believer in funding the STEM degrees. This would encourage people to study for a degree that will actually NOT make you end up working at starbucks, and actually contribute to society. Want to major in women's studies? Fine. You must either select another science-based major to double-major, or complete the prerequisite science courses to graduate.
Those who are TRULY gifted in the arts will be offered private funding, possibly with a small government stipend.
If the beggar in the street would get off his lazy ass and get a job maybe he could afford it. Or even further back maybe if he didn't abuse drugs to the point that now he's unemployable and cancer ridden 1 he wouldn't be in this mess and 2 even with cancer he could afford care. I'm willing to help people but you're leaving out a lot of information involving the potential recipient of these benefits. A mentally ill homeless person who is in their situation through no fault of their own is more than deserving of help. A faggot ass junkie that gave themselves cancer deserves to die alone in the gutter. Human life is not precious by default
no other cannidate wants to give you anything for free
a vote for bernie, is a vote for never having to worry about what you are gonna do for a living, because janitors and engineers will make the same wage
if you are a person of color, you are crazy to vote for anyone else. bernie is going to make it illegal not to be a minority.
Absolutely. You must not understand the huge costs involved specifically in healthcare. I'm not saying all industries should go this way, but healthcare and education should be entirely non-profit. This does not mean doctors and researchers shouldn't be well compensated, that's not where the excess cost comes from, rather the need for these companies to maintain ridiculous profit margins with no benefit to the consumer/person in need.
>education should be entirely non-profit.
>european schools are dogshit
>A and B should fund C's urban studies degree
I'm a civil engineer from Cornell. Private schools will still hold prestige and will likewise be profitable. You're arguing for a dumber population, something that is ruining America. Especially now with the internet we need people who can interpret data and discern fact from nonsense and we seem to be severely lacking.
>if you are a person of color, you are crazy to vote for anyone else.
I'm still shocked why he lost states because persons of color weren't smart enough to vote for him.
I mean, I'd probably not vote for him, but da niggas in the hood proly should.
I'm assuming it's because they immediately think Bill was a pretty swell guy and any bitch who sticks around for their niggar is a vote for hillary.
Almost all of that figure is from universal health care, which is money that we already pay to private companies instead of the government. he would raise everyones taxes by 2% to pay for that, and I would save money if I paid 2% more taxes but didn't have to pay for insurance any more
>You're arguing for a dumber population,
no, I'm arguing that people pay for what services they use themselves. and if you really cared about education you would be more concerned over our garbage 1-12 school system which has been getting worse and worse for 60 years.
"Why is Europe paying for your shit"
Nigga, the US has been holding Europe's hand ever since 1945. Without the US Europe would have been Russia's bitch. And it still will be if you don't start paying for your own goddamn military.
>implying higher education is what america needs
If you build a house on sand, it wont stand. We need to fix k-12 in america, otherwise it is pointless because they will have to either A.) Dumb down higher ed so people who were pushed through can get the education B.) Deny entry to the schools, which defeates the purpose of free higher ed. Both of these options leave some Americans behind, and A. Makes our curriculum pointless on a global scale
No you're just arguing for a dumber population. Why even have public school at all then? Or social security so your grandmom can die sooner because her savings won't last 15 years, obviously it's her fault inflation is moving faster than her savings compounds. Your kids will understand they don't need a grandmom in your third world paradise.
My school attracts a shit-ton of Asians and other foreigners. I ask them why they chose this school and pretty much all of them answer that they'll get accepted into the top graduate programs in their country just because they went here.
My school isn't even in the top 10 world-wide. Your stats also don't include the education costs for foreign residents (re: out of state in 'Merica).
>'Merica's universities within the top 100 are the literal majority in the world
'Merica does higher-education right. The thing that needs to be reformed is college administration.
Because most people these days are too stupid to get a legitimate degree, so they get some useless Liberal Arts thing with no viable career, and then bitch about being in debt. This is why most millennials are Sanders supporters.
I'm all for investing more in k-12 in addition to college. All of this can easily be paid for if we wen't back to 1950-1960s levels of taxation, or if we just taxed 1 in 4 corporations at all, or if we stop letting these corps move jobs and cash overseas, or if we audit the pentagon. The money is there, it's already been taken from you, and the rich, white niggers of the world are keeping it unless you take it back.
This country either Berns
Or it burns.
We have massive, massive leeches sitting on top of us and they ruin every aspect of our lives that involves money.
I want to drag the poll managers into the streets and hold them accountable publicly.
None of these people remotely understand the economy or velocity of money. Just give up arguing with the plebeians and accept your role as a wealthy person forever fucking the idiots.
Meh, I wouldn't underestimate the Trump supporters. From my understanding, Hillary would have to win twice the lead (in actual pledged delegates) over sanders, that Trump currently has over the next republican hopeful.
Sanders/Clinton is actually surprisingly close, but there is no way that the Democratic party would have them both run.
Please name a successful socialist country.
Please keep in mind that nordic countries have disavowed themselves from being considered 'socialist' since Bernie keeps namedropping them.
You are purposing to shut down trade. Oh you arent? What do you think will happen if we try to bring jobs back by force? We will shut ourselves out of the global marketplace. We need to incentivise companies to come back, but in your mind this is considered corporate welfare and is evil so welp cant do that. The money is here that is correct, we need to put more in the hands of the public. There are ways to do this, but bernies plans...bernies plans will fuck up this country. We are on a tightrope right now, i know things seem good but we just put humpty dumpty back together, we shouldnt be placing him on any walls right away.
if Hillary wins, it will be a dark day. She sets people up to die, then tries to cover it up. How is she not in jail? She also has terrible money sense, remember that 1 million dollar woodstock museum?
>All of this can easily be paid for if we wen't back to 1950-1960s levels of taxation
bernouts are hilarious. they're so stupid that they actually think people paid those taxes.
No I'm proposing moving forward with things as they are but no more moving industry overseas. Leave it as is and move forward focusing internally. Obviously we have to keep the dollar strong on a global level, but that can be done without moving any more jobs overseas.
They didnt pay those nope. The usual tax dodging was happening but theres only so much that can be done. When the tax rate was 90% the wealthy paid around 50% which is still 50% more than 1 in 4 corps pay today.
If we keep thing the way they are companies will continue to move, because they are doing it now. We need to restructure our system but we cant go in without any lube friend. We need to trap the companies. Lure them back in with sweet talks and tax breaks, then once they are here close the trap. Bernie wants to close the trap now, and that will kill us
>nordic countries have disavowed themselves
I'll completely agree that Sanders' idea of "Nordic Socialism" isn't completely up to par, but still. The government should control certain areas that are the most beneficial to the survival and development of the state (e.g., education and healthcare).
After New York, I can't wait to see the tears of Bernie Sanders advocates when he inevitably drops out.
It'll be a good day.
It'll take him years to "close the trap" but at least he'll be trying. He won't do anything to hurt the global dollar and will prob end up looking like Obama at first. It's his intentions that matter.
No. Have you not been paying attention? Companies are on the move right now, and many more are ready to leave if he gets in office. It may take him years, but during those years he will be spouting the same rhetoric of corporations are evil, and fuck the rich. They are going to jump ship, it isnt rocket science. If bernie was concerned with this he wouldnt be showing his hand right away.
Enjoy your 2,000 Iphone.
If there's one thing that I dislike about capitalism, it's the silent slavery that comes behind it. You can regulate all you want with fair labor laws, etc. within the US but there is nothing stopping you to ship production over-seas to child laborers making pennies on the hour (or contracting with countries that allow African children work in mines to harvest magic iphone battery dust).
Slavery is real in modern democracy, it just isn't visible.
>150k in student loans
>bernie was my career plan
Youll love these
Pretty sure at least one if fake
are you? and bernie literally links to the site in that image on his fucking website
Still not convinced until Norway master race chimes in. Few Muslims AND a great social plan? Sign me up.
It doesn't change the fact that it is literally the worst case senario. with Iran selling gas off so cheap to fuck OPEC we are in a perfect position to attempt Bernie's plans.
Some people vote for Trump get over that
Jokes on you, I've been learning Norwegian for a while now, just in case this Trump fellow gets elected.
My ancestors were from there originally and I have a science degree from a nationally-renowned university so I don't think it would be too hard to get back in.
Businesses that have no business here. Cowards who refuse to pay their workers and ship the jobs overseas. Lower the standard of living for all Americans. They can fucking leave.
Or of Hillary for that matter. All major party candidates are strongly authoritarian right now. I wish voters unsatisfied with their choices would choose third party, but there's little chance of that happening.
You're acting as if it will happen overnight. Because it will take time, there will be time for smaller businesses to thrive. The value of money is relative and frankly most businesses will choose to weather the storm because they know leaving America would bankrupt them. News has you people scared.
How will smaller businesses thrive when they have to spend the majority of their profit on a 15 dollar wage and now on higher production costs because these cowards left? Youre delusional m8, go smoke another fatty
We have superior Universities... To even Europe. Face it, we win.
Not when Bernie disables the inversion process. It will upset China in the short term but if we let them keep the business they already have it will work for some time. America is designed to change. We need socialism now and at some point we will need to the opposite.
I agree. I've watched him change from his advocacy for the disenfranchised to the current trend to bolster middle-class bank accounts.
I think he has been and will continue to be valuable in the Senate.
True to a point, but not entirely accurate overall. Trump is, by far, the most authoritarianist inclined candidate and the other candidates to show some authoritarianism qualities. I truly wish that the US at least had ONE third party to break up the odds. I read somewhere that 30% of Sanders' voters identify as independent. If that isn't a call for multi-party system, I don't know what is.
The parties will spoon feed us the candidates and we will argue about them until another one is elected.
When people who make the minimum wage get more money, they spend 100% of it and goes into the economy. When a rich person gets that money, they stash it away and don't spend it. Raising the minimum wage would stimulate the economy by giving the poorest people more money to spend. Some businesses might not be able to afford paying thier employees that much, but the economy as whole would improve
>European countries are literally paradise
I know this is /b/ and 10 y.o faggots from middle class family lurks here a lot... but fuck man how do you become this oblivious to reality ?
>they stash it away and don't spend it.
> by giving the poorest people more money to spend
or you could do the same thing without hurting small businesses by cutting taxes
yes, those businesses would be small businesses who fail, while the large businesses fire employees and cut costs
>some companies wouldnt be able to pay it
Yeah the majority of small businesses wont. And mark my words, we are heading towards a world of salaried and contract workers. Yes more money into the hands of the poor is good, but doing this off the back of our entrepreneurs is a shitty idea that will kill innovation and give the big corporations the upper hand. It will create a feedback loop that stifles competition and will create monopolies. Sanders ideas if implemented will create a wasteland where the 1% will have the upperhand, and the majority of us will be dependant on the government.
>seattle raises min. wage to 15$
>unemployment goes up
did you learn nothing from the panama papers?
>or you could do the same thing without hurting small businesses by cutting taxes
We can't really afford to cut taxes any more we already have a ridiculous 20 trillion in debt and a deficit
>the large businesses fire employees and cut costs
The large businesses will take the cut in profits, because firing essential employees will hurt their profits even worse. Most businesses don't hire based on how much money they have, they hire the number of employees they need
This. The majority would probably like a libertarian or other third party over hillary or trump, but they're too afraid of getting one of those two that they vote for the other one instead.
>The large businesses will take the cut in profits, because firing essential employees will hurt their profits even worse. Most businesses don't hire based on how much money they have, they hire the number of employees they need
Oh man, oh man. No, if you think the big business will just eat the cost and not pay it forward, it doesnt aurprise me that sanders appeals to you
>The large businesses will take the cut in profits, because firing essential employees will hurt their profits even worse. Most businesses don't hire based on how much money they have, they hire the number of employees they need
Oh man, oh man. No, if you think the big business will just eat the cost and not pay it forward, it doesnt surprise me that sanders appeals to you
I actually said the same thing about Obama once he became elected (then it was more due to white supremacist bs than anything). But I strongly doubt that Trump is intentionally trying to make anyone smarter than he is.
Trump is likely a VERY intelligent individual. I have zero doubt in my mind about that (despite some of his ideas and promises if he'd be elected president). Becoming that wealthy isn't easy and I do respect him for making a name for himself.
Still I wouldn't vote for him though.
>mfw he's jewish and this is the best America can do
feels bad man
Except for the fact that price of goods will increase at he same rate and people with decent wages will either be making the minimum or get raises to match the stupid market that has now been created and everyone will be right back where they were. The poor will be poor and the rich will be rich and we will figuratively be spending a wheelbarrow full of cash on a loaf of bread.
Why not move to the US so you can find out what it actually costs to pay for healthcare then?
Why doesn't trump support the building of a wall with canada then?
I like your picture btw, it reminds me of home. No polar bears though.
A decent percentage of Americans would be somewhere in between democrats and republicans on the political spectum. Basically indicating that a third (more moderately-leaning) party should be introduced.
The minimum wage does need to be raised in some locations to account for living costs, but federal is just dumb. It doesn't cost the same to live in Charleston, SC as it does to live in San Francisco, CA
That's not what an industry leader does tho. Investment is fine but it doesn't have any inherent risk. That's the kinda balls it takes to do what needs to be done. Just because he tried something and came out with less than if he just let a wealth manager put it into a fund with doesn't mean he's not successful.
Do you have any idea what it takes to get into Harvard Law and graduate Magna Cum Laude?
I'll admit, he did probably inherit some money, but not enough to buy him the highest Latin honers at the best law school in the world.
Even then, the main US parties aren't good representations of the left and right wings. The Democratic party are becoming increasingly nothing but corporate shills, and the Republican party are becoming increasingly authoritarian.
Because Canada's government isn't actually publishing pamphlets on how to illegally cross the border and where to find the best "ask no questions" work when they get in. Also their popular music isn't doing the same thing
>It will solve Israeli problems with American money.
Will ? Israeli has been doing this way before the nigger became president . The jewish lobbyist will continue to send american tax money to Israel as long as America exist .
>What we need to do is help fix mexico, not shut them off.
This is actually a good point. We should be putting pressure on Mexico to make their own country great again rather than just telling them to fuck off.
They're actually cheaper when they're allowed to compete with each other without govt interference. I agree with the previous condition part but Obamacare is literally why people who were paying $100/mo are now paying $250/mo and actual Obamacare is not that cheap even for their cheapest plans.
free trade is free trade man. Whatever steps the US tries to curb with Mexico, it should also curb with Canada.
Inb4 muh oil profits.
If Canada was so concerned with it's oil profits, it should have no problem letting in an equal share of our North American brothers.
Exactly. They need our help, and our drug lust has helped fuel the cartels. We could legalize and start producing in America, but that is a whole can of worms that is easier said than done. Treaties and what not
Bernie can go fuck him self and go back to high school and learn economics.
bernie sanders isnt good. his allure is largely due to marketing.
A lot of the shit he says doesn't make any sense. Like universal healthcare or breaking up the big banks or $15 federal minimum wage or free college - these are all fantasy like Trump's wall and "winning so much you are going to be tired of winning".
On other things, he is just plain wrong. He is against nuclear power, fracking, and GMO foods, 3 of the big anti-science positions on the left. He implies that glass steagall was responsible for the recession of 2007, and he says trade deals were bad for the economy, both positions that go against expert consensus.
Grow up and vote for Hillary you faggots.
The math that he has said. to trust a politician fully shows great ignorance and naivety, sure what he has told may add up, but he may not be telling us everything. This is a presidental election, you dont show your full hand. You think obama went around to the campaign stops and said im gonna drone the shit out of the mid east, or im not really gonna shut down gitmo
Funny how most degree carrying economists agree with many of his ideas. Then again you listen to politicians instead of the people that understand what the policies actually do.
Put some of those taxes into rehab and education and you got a deal. We have the same problem with drugs as we do with sex education: we just say "don't do it" people do it anyways. We need to teach about them.
Obamacare is absolutely horrible.
Capitalism can reduce costs (competing between plans), but government sponsored programs can be made to reduce costs further (if the government is non-corrupt, etc.).
Yes indeed he is.
He's prepared to finally send the United States tumbling helplessly into the dustbin of history.
And I'm okay with this.
Now will the welfare queens be okay with it when there's no more welfare? I don't know. Will the hipsters be okay with it when they get beaten within an inch of their life for their skinny jeans? I don't know. Will the faggots be okay with it when they're forced into sex slavery? I don't know.
I don't care, either. Good riddance. Bring it on.
>if the math adds up and everything is paid for
When - in the history of every government in the world, ever - has that even once been the case?
And even in magical fantasy economics world where it did all add up, there's still the question of, is this a moral plan?
Pro tip: it isn't. It robs individuals of their free will.
>universal healthcare or breaking up the big banks or $15 federal minimum wage or free college
how are any of these fantasy?
>He is against nuclear power, fracking, and GMO foods
I don't know his position of nuclear power, but why wouldn't you want to end fracking? It's terrible for the environment and that is backed up by science. And hes not against GMO foods, he just wants them labelled as GMO, not something I would ever complain about
>He implies that glass steagall was responsible for the recession of 2007, and he says trade deals were bad for the economy, both positions that go against expert consensus.
Ummmm what? There is no consensus but many experts agree with both those of those points
