Trailer was cool but if they got rid of Kyle Katarn I will be disappointed. Also very sick of fucking sand in Star Wars movies, there are so many other fucking planets and they always settle on fucking sand. I tried to rationalize it as "Outer rim planet bro" in my head but there are only like 2 Outer Rim planets other than Tatooine that are entirely fucking sand leaving some 200 others that vary in terrain yet they go with fucking sand. They wrote an entirely new fucking planet for Force Awakens so they could have more fucking sand instead of filming it on beautiful Dantooine or scary as shit Mygeeto(which would have been fucking great for scavenging) but no, they need more fucking sand.

I was disappointed the first viewing as well, the fan focused scenes like finding the Falcon, Han and Chewie coming "home" and the like was nice but I couldn't help but think Abrams had no original ideas and just wanted to try to win people over by making it like the original trilogy. Hoped for a cool new Star Wars movie but just got rehashed shit. After maybe the 4th viewing I came to terms with the fact that maybe it needed to try to be like the original trilogy to remind me why I liked the originals in the first place to set up the next two for success. But they will probably suck too.
