If you're worried you won't reach 10 pages with your story, you have to keep in mind that the mental image of scenes in the story can't be seen by the reader. You have to describe it in detail. If a character is doing an action, use a word or words to describe how they're doing it and so on.
Take this for example:
It was a warm spring night when Snarf decided to go to the gym. He was standing outside and could feel a light breeze tussle his hair and he could hear the faint sound of crickets chirping in the distance. Though Snarf was nervous about going inside. He feared that other gym goers might laugh at him while he tried to firm his glutes into a glorious, hairy bubble butt. After standing outside for what felt like hours to him, he looked up and saw something peculiar. It was Nibi, a man whom Snarf had lusted after for many years. Nibi was pressing his medium-sized man meat against the second story window from the inside while tenderly rubbing his nipples and looking at Snarf longingly. It was at this moment that Snarf realized that he must enter and claim Nibi's booty which has been offered, through lewd gestures, to him...
See, you can fill the pages up pretty quickly.
Tough crowd tonight.

Hemingway didn't go into detail. If he had a male character he'd give the name of the character and that's pretty much it. The stories were very specifically crafted so that there would be massive gaps that the reader would fill in themselves.
>>678268506
But you are fake, the degree that the average person is fake and how much people like you are fake is quite disproportionate. See, the average person tells white lies and keeps certain thoughts to themselves so that they don't upset or offend another person. You however crafted an entirely different persona to cover up the fact that you're a gay furry incestuous pedophile.
>>678268436
But always gave details.

>An old man with steel rimmed spectacles and very dusty clothes sat by the side of the road.

That is the first line I am familiar with. What details does he give? He's old, he's sitting, he's exhausted, he's near a pontoon bridge. These are all vital pieces of information. Notice he doens't say what the old man looks like, just that he's old and has glasses, nor does he describe the scenery other than he's near a pontoon bridge that crosses a river.

>An old man with spectacles sits exhausted by the side of the road near a pontoon bridge that crosses a river.
Again, this is the first line I am familiar with.
Furthermore, Hemingway himself compared his writing to an iceberg and also stated, "If a writer of prose knows enough of what he is writing about he may omit things that he knows and the reader, if the writer is writing truly enough, will have a feeling of those things as strongly as though the writer had stated them."
Others have described Hemingway's prose as "a lean, hard, athletic narrative prose that puts more literary English to shame."
"meaning is established through dialogue, through action, and silences—a fiction in which nothing crucial—or at least very little—is stated explicitly."
Here are some other facts about Hemingway. He avoided using complex sentences as often as possible sticking instead to simple sentences, and stuck to simple syntax.
Why don't you pick up a book, you fucking lepton?

What annoyed me the most, and its something that a lot horror movies do, is the constant, suspension-ruining soundtrack playing in every scene. I just noticed it as the movie went on, everytime something was supposed to be scary, I'd be distracted by an overdone score.
I think the scene from the original in the kennel showed how to use music for atmosphere. Just a simple, eerie subtle piece to emphasis the exact moment of the reveal, and then cuts out when it needs to.

Again, he consistently used unnecessary details in his stories for the purpose of painting a picture (which include the tone, mood, emotion of characters, and so on). I'm not sure how much clearer I can make this. His writing style was just much leaner on details than other writers at the time and years past - not that he omitted all details, important or unimportant altogether.
Is any of this making sense, Mr. dilettante?
