Yeah when the game was released last summer it had a lot of game breaking bugs and crashes. WB even pulled the game from the store and promised they would fix it and re-release it. They did that in october or so and are still releasing updates and fixes, but I've heard it's somewhat okay now.

There is a torrent version around, but that's the summer version before they pulled it without any of the later patches.
