As a whole, essentially nothing. Even with our system of genetic reproduction, the whole reiteration process for a robot just restarts with new variables on a set chemical system based on the laws of physics. It's really not that much different from telling a robot to do an instruction - to tell it to take what it knows and interpret it for the best overall outcome, whether it be for logic, comedy, thievery... Hopefully altruistic. If not that, we basically develop a new kind of cancer. A la the Flood, as an example.

The drawing chans have always had competitions. yearly or not, I don't know. Drawfags are paired up, have fights and are judged on performance, whether it's entertaining, well drawn, etc. Usually it's one-on-one but not this time somehow
