I thought it would be fun, to be a typical enlightened wise grand old fart, but I exhausted myself trying to bring others.
So, it was more a mature transition from the choice to conform to the choice to believe my own feelings.
Nothing about my post was gothic or narcissistic.

I used a variety of chemicals, some allowed me to step aside and look at myself from another pov.
But when I stopped, I couldn't help wonder what if I took another step and looked at the person looking. That's when my journey started.
The chemicals in my brain play their part, but thats focusing on the engine when you're already strapped on, going whatever way/speed you wish.

is exactly what it is: your imagination, your will to live, desires, hates.
an awareness of everything that makes you-you.
That focusing helps you develop another way of observing reality, no longer a person following bodily commands- someone who is aware they are a biological machine/reactor.
Technically, they are dead, an intelligent artifact whos self awareness is a biological by-product of the reaction.
Only when that artifact begins to question what it assumes it already knows, it fails to be truly 'alive'.
