Cherry Blue switches are in my opinion a bit softer and quieter than my model m.
Also TKL, without numeric, lets me have my mouse in a more pleasant position, happy shoulder.

Mechanical keyboards have different types of "key switches" underneath the key caps, but it's mostly preference. Long story short, they have more parts to them then membrane keyboards, which keys are made of rubber. That's the jist, anyway.
