Frank Miller Batman was never Justice League Batman tier. Justice League Batman was in his prime. This movie would have made more sense after Justice League 2 or Batman's movie like they did with Civil War. That way we could have character development and see Batman turn brutal. The way it is now is rushed and makes no sense. It's like if Civil War came before Avengers. It wouldn't make sense. Now we've got an old as dogshit Batman and they will most likely have him die in one of the League films.

In my opinion, the movie is good. It could've been great, but just fall short of it. My problem with the movie is the characters. It just feel like they're not the person they're supposed to be.
Batsy felt like too butthurt agaisnt Supes, somewhat holding grudge agaisnt him. Also, he doesn't play that greatest mind/detective part. Just more towards some pretend 'detective' with high end gadgets.

I was disapointed because i wanted a Dark knight returns live action. And got a cluster fuck of a Lutor that didnt work an expresion/emotionless Bruce Wayne and a fucking boring superman (what a surprise) the action was good and exciting but the drama felt forced af. The movie was split into two halves by being made about both. I cant say it was a good choice or not, but lack of any real plot development because of this is where the movie falls short. Another problem i had was the fact that for no real reason other than a name was why the two ended up being allies. Finally, the halfassed inclusion of Doomsday was what really killed it. It seems he was added in a sort of afterthought because of how oddly forced he seemed. They had to come up with some big boss for the band of heros to fight and because of it, he was just forced in right towards the end. That ties into my problem about how the entire movie seemed like a way to get people hyped for the next movie which may or may not end up being a Justice League of some assortment.
Some of the things i thought they potrayled accurately was how powerful superman is, and the fight between batman and superman was pretty darn cool.

The film had way too many plot points that were not threaded together well. There were too many random plot threads woven in that had nothing to do with the story but rather was meant to setup future films (Amazing Spider-Man 2). The film promised me Batman V Superman and did not deliver.
They introduced Doomsday, a character not worthy of being in a film and a plot point (Superman's death) which was not earned and came too early in this franchise. Wonder Woman was great but had no purpose in this film. She was woven in merely to be introduced to general audiences and it was not organic. The film had some incredible gold. But it also had too much shit inbetween.

They did well following Man of Steel in some of the prequel comics. It showed the government doing simulations of Superman going rogue, and they said the death count would be in the 5 digit range within 30 minutes. I actually like Ryan Reynolds and think he is good for the role, but they were way over the top. Deadpool is comedic, sure, and they had a lot of fun breaking the 4th wall, but it was honestly like just sitting in a sound booth listening to 7,000 takes of Ryan Reynolds' rejected jokes. None of it was that funny, and the badass Deadpool didn't get enough of the focus. And the plot was straight up boring. I enjoyed the movie although it could have been so much better.
They should have focused more on Superman and his character development. I personally felt they didn't really expand on whether the world needs a Superman or not.
They also missed out on building up the hate between Batman and Superman (I have read the Directors cut expands this more) and then eventually leading to a fight that Superman isn't forced into by Lex Luther.
They should have ended the movie before Doomsday was released. And that should have been the setup for the next film. Where they defeat doomsday and begin to build the Justice League.
Again, I enjoyed the movie it just seemed that it wasn't really Batman vs Superman.
