Dead space is one of my favorite recent franchises. Seems like it had the best parts of resident evil 4 and awsome gore, and I liked the creatures most deff, all around I felt it was pretty dope. I'd give it a spook rating of... 13 dead rats out of 17
Dead space 1 first horror game I ever played, loved it
Amnesia was good, the water part in Justine where the monster is breaking down the door was the most stressful moment of my life
Layers of Fear is turning out to be amazing because scary and I love macabre paintings

Resident evil 3 was awesome, I liked that the nemisis was after your ass all through the game till the end... And then you kill his ass, such good feels.
Admitted tho that some of the puzzles were a bit obscure. I'd say its a good Dreamcast buy fr sure

Dead space 1 was great. Slowly got less and less great scary-wise. I played the co op one with my gf and it was great fun but it wasn't spooky fun it was action fun. Those fucking black regenerators fucking scared the crap out of me in the first one I think it is.
My favorite franchise has to be Silent Hill. Although it's not the best one, I thought Silent Hill Homecoming had some of the coolest/scariest monsters. The Schism was my favorite.
I feel like downpour was very good too. Only problem it had was that the monsters were kind of boring.
Call of cthulhu is very different and challenging, if you like og Xbox games I'd say give it a go. Best part is the balance of sneaking and killing... And fish monsters can't forget those.

Loved the hell out of this game until the boat level. Ragequit after dying 3 times when it wouldn't register me grabbing the railings at the crucial moment. Will eventually get back to it

I actually liked this game... Its fun for a tank controls r.e. rip off. Best part is the hallway zombies that are fucking always in the way... Fuckers. And the terrible voice acting is top notch. Something about ps1 graphics makes this game extra spooky in the dark... I'll give it... 10 black cats out of 17... On its own merits I want to say more but yeah.

Yeah? She loves playing Co Op games with me. We've played resident evil 5 and 6 and also dead space (the newest one). The only annoying thing is that she sucks at quick time events (fucking resident evil) and when you have to tap buttons fast.

I wouldn't say this was the scariest game ever but Last of Us was a great survival horror game. Especially when you put it on more difficult modes. Shit felt really unnerving at times having to deal with clickers and shit.
