Well, c-clips are a weak point in light duty axles. An eliminator kit replaces those with bearings but a chromoly axle shaft kit does that and gives you significantly stronger axle shafts. And those axle shafts have 31 splines instead of 28 and the Ford 8.8 axle has more options for locking differentials (which force the wheels to spin at the same speed even when one has no traction) with 31 spline shafts.
And to me it makes more sense to wait to replace the spider gears with a locker, new differential cover and the axle shafts/c-clips all at the same time so I don't keep opening the axle and spending a few hundred dollars on gear oil

yes of course showers,...but...hear me out, you can take showers, with a bike pump and some basic stuff...drive out into the woods, and makeshift a large water container to take showers. I don't feel cold that much so heat isn't a problem. but a large drum and a bike pump, follow that with a hose your good to go. I plan on getting a fursuit so that may jack the price like a mutherfuck but i mean if your going bare minimum you could get a tent and borrow a shit truck from a family member...unless you don't have a family member with a shit truck then you may need to just concede and go with the hotel...i just got lucky and have a sustainable way to do these things myself
