So, /b/, explain to me something. When /b/tards make atheism vs. christianity bait threads, why do they always use a pic of Tami Stronach from Neverending Story?
c'mon, tell me somebody

"they" don't its just one retarded kid with no life
>>676215102

/thread
>also the faggot keeps getting shut up, but he continues to beg the question that has already been answered.
>>676215411
The question still stands though, why use the same, otherwise completely unrelated pic consistently for those threads?
>>676215411
Fuck you. I'm a man not a kid. I'm 43 years old. I don't need to take this shit from a loser like you that can't even get his facts straight.
>>676215701
It's a meme you dip
>>676215808
This tbh fam.
>>676215701
appeal to emotion. Nazis were using little kids in their propagandas too
>>676215411
but what if that person prefers "they" as their pronoun?
>>676215755
What a nice christian thing to say.
>>676215102
You know about Pavlov's experiments?
>>676215808
But memes usually have some sort of origin or reason behind them, and I'm curious how this association between those threads and those pics started.
>>676216302
Pavlov is sitting in the bar having a beer, when suddenly the phone rings in the back. Pavlov jumps up, and exclaims "Oh god, I forgot to feed the dog!"
>>676215102
They use the picture where she is crying, because butthurt used to be a real thing.
>>676215102
Presumably the original thread used it as a throwaway image and it caught on
>>676216655
Fair enough.
>>676216554
I don't get it
>>676216909
Pavlov's most famous experiment was that he always rang a bell before feeding a lab dog. After a while, the dog's brain has learnt the association between the sound and the food, and afterwards, it started salivating when a bell was rung even before it got any food. The joke is that the association between the sound and feeding the dog wasn't just built in the dog's brain, but also in Pavlov's.

Neverending Story and Neverending Argument. Because of her role in an unending story, she is a symbol of the fact that the argument between atheism and religion. There will never be a definitive answer or end to that discussion and is therefore ANOTHER neverending story.
>>676217409
I like the Pavlov's dog experiment where you mention pavlov's dog and every mouthbreather with a GED perks up like they know something special.
>>676217827
I was thinking something similar, that the Childlike Empress in the story can be interpreted as an allegory for God, and this might have inspired someone to use this pic for a thread.
>>676218314
thereby making her the pro-religioin aspect of the argument and if one would post his pic, Sebastian in the movie would embody the atheist viewpoint.

I've seen the film a long time ago, and my memories are pretty hazy. I've read the book several times though. On the surface, there is no mention of religion, atheism, God, or anything like that, although, as I said, the Childlike Empress can be interpreted as a sort of allegory. Not sure if that was the author's intent.
