I just spent $1400+ on a PC specifically to mod this game and play it. I've only got a few hours in so far because I'm trying to balance my playing time across several games right now, but I'm definitely having fun replaying this with immersion mods.

Anyone else else feel sad because they want to replay it but even with the 100+ mods i have it still feels old and outdated and almost like its past its time.
Dont get me wrong i used to love this game, have 100s of hours on ps3 back in the day and 100s more on my pc with many many mods.
However i put it on again recently but could help but feel bored and underwhelmed :(

Holy fuck, this. I've been gaming since I was a kid in the 90s. Never had problems going back and playing FF8, Command and Conquer Tiberiun Sun, blah blah. The past few years though, only top graphic games can hold my attention. I can't enjoy older games like Oblivion or hell even things like Hitman Blood Money which i fucking loved. I've turned into the thing I've hated for most of my gaming life, a huge faggot who can't play a game because it has bad graphics, I'm ashamed, I used to think graphics didn't make the game, story/gameplay did. Might be because games are becoming more standardized. I don't play a lot of western RPGs but when I look at like the Fallout games all I see is Skyrim but in the future and that's before you even get into things like FPS's and GTA clones and so forth. A lot of games are more about graphics and content now and it's been that way since the XB360/PS3 generation (just like it was in the SNES/GEN generation).

Idk man, maybe I'm just... dare I say bored of gaming? The quality I was used to growing up, I just feel like its not there anymore. As I got older, and got a career and made time for college and shit, I feel like I'm less playing for fun, and more playing on a time limit, always on a fucking time limit. Get home from work, i know i have only 2 hours to game before i have to activity A or activity B. I just can't dig into games anymore, and honestly it pisses me off.
