It's easier when your doing the breaking up, when your the one that wants to move on, but when it's not your choice, when she's the one leaving you, because she doesn't love you anymore and you lose your best friend that you love more than anyone else in the world, the person who you used to do everything with, well, it's just as terrible as it sounds.
I think at a certain point you realize the ephemeral nature of relationships, and life in general, and break ups don't seem like the horrible thing they once were, but at the same time, love doesn't seem quite as bright and wonderful as it once was either. I think as you get older, you experience less and less of that sense of wonder at the various aspects of life, and that includes love and relationships. My advice is to enjoy the experience for what it is, the good and the bad.
