If that's your art I have a couple tips.
For one, you need to exaggerate the space the on the top of the snout/nose because otherwise it looks like the whole face is in profile, and if you drew another eye where the hair is covering it, it wouldn't work. Second, do long, smooth brush strokes. Third, more contrast in values would be good. Shadows under the knees and shit. For really light shadows like the ones youre doing, use less of the smudge tool. Burn tool can sometimes be used but not overused.
