The nice part with shoes is the tread pattern I think. My girlfriend will sometimes use heels to try to leave red dots all over me but she really likes to just step down and stand in one place for a while with boots or sneakers, and then step off and see a red imprint of her whole tread pattern on my skin and feel the imprints. In particular, one time when I was traveling to DC for a few days for a training class, she had me lay on the bathroom floor while she curled her hair in her winter boots and just really stomped around and took a long time. Like 45 minutes to curl her hair and I had boot shaped bruises on my chest and back. I sent her a picture from the hotel room that they had lasted and I was still marked up from her boots the next day and she loved it.
