Um, I'm not precisely the most important anon in these threads, but I feel compelled to share my opinion on this:
While I agree that quality should be valued over quantity, and that an increase in quantity more often than not comes associated with a decrease of quality, I must also say that 24-hour waifu threads gave the possibility of some anons to join us. Anons who couldn't be part of us because of time-zones or conflicting schedules. I've been here since these threads were a 19-20h CET thing and I know that is more of an European-friendly time. Both scheduled threads and 24-hour threads have advantages and disadvantages, but saying that letting people think otherwise because it will "filter them out" instead of working on solving the problem is an elitist attitude and doesn't help anyone.
But whatever, topic isn't being discussed anymore and I am tempted to delete this shit.
Maybe I'm entirely wrong, who knows?

Okay, so when I say "filter them out". I mean filter out the people who enjoy being apart of something more lasting like a Telegram chat and can't handle being apart of something that isn't always up.
How do you keep something interesting on a text based chat when you're constantly talking to them and have 5-7 hour down time.
People whom I've known for years take week long breaks from talking to each other because sometimes you just need that time away and when these threads are constantly up I assume people feel the obligation to join on in these threads and "talk".
I'm not saying "filter" out as if they're trash, I just mean filter out the differing communities. 24/7 ain't always a good thing, if there are different timezones than just get in the thread when it's most convenient for you. That way there is more to talk about when you come back.

As i just said, one time those threads will end up with nothing to talk about anymore. The thing which makes them special is just gone. The thing, to talk to other waifu lovers in a restricted construct of posts and images in a limited time is gone. Even if we have the opportunity to talk about Telegram 24/7, we don't talk 24/7 om it because it's like just in this example you mentioned. You just run out of stuff to talk to. And some stuff is just too private to talk about. The different timezones are a problem yes, and i can't do anything that i (the usual OP) lives in Germany. But the quantity makes those threads worse then they should be. Less threads, more quality and more....let's say....important stuff, specials of the day you just experienced in the threads. To gain back what makes them special. But as i said, it's only my opinion and i'm not telling you guys what to do and what don't. Why should i?

Besides, it's not like we have the same 5 anons constantly here 24 hours. Different people come and go. While yes, having it up constantly allows new people to join who haven't previously been here, i.e not specifically looking for the thread, it does bring up the issue of becoming too samey. I've lurked threads where for two or three threads in a row the only thing people said were "Good morning X". And that was it. If people want to be part of the 24/7 thing that's fine. Let em, they can create a thread if one isn't already up. though I don't think being in constantly is a good idea. It gets boring quickly too often. I am probably going to be showing up a bit less unless something interesting to talk about crops up, not to say I won't be around at all, just less so. We've gone through just about every topic imaginable (that people are willing to share over /b/ of course), within about three days.

Oh, that's not the anime for you if that's what you're into. It's more Science Fantasy but extremely graphic and has subtle love tones.
Mixed reviews are fair, doesn't do the manga justice. Still a good anime though, soundtrack is also orgasmic. It's something I recommend all anime goers watch at least once due to how many references it has in other shows.
The animation quality is also great.
