Dude, same. I was about to post this exact reply.
One time I wiped all my partitions, and accidentally set my BIOS to disable all my USB drives (and I have no other keyboard input), so I was really fucked. Had to look up how to reset bios.
Turns out I had to physically open the tower, take out the battery on the motherboard, and put it back in. Anyway, I fixed it. It's fine now.

I work at a hotelroom and apartment rental company as Mr. Can-Fix-Everything. Boss calls me, asking me if I can look at his computer. Tells me it said the CPU fan couldn't be found at startup, and he really needs to get stuff done. Wanted to know if I had any idea where it might have gone.
I Open up the desktop housing, turns out the fan has been completely clogged up with dust.. It's an old pc, but I happen to have an exact same one at home. I live about 5 minutes from where I work, so I go and get the CPU, replace the one in my bosses computer. He was back in business within 10 minutes, awards me for the extra efford by giving me a new TV we had laying around as a spare for the hotel.
