Nothing about this state and the internet surprises me.

I've been around on 4chan since ~2005 and I've only actually met 3 people in real life who regularly visited 4chan. And one of them was my at-the-time girlfriend who got into it after seeing all the boards. Hell, people tell me even the Reddit meetups are apparently super-slim compared to other places. Just, people around here aren't into internet communities or something I guess. Sucks, tho
