Not OP. But while we're on the topic, I'm very much thinking of joining YPG or one of the many mercenary groups fighting against Isis. I was denied by the military due to a few scars (got them from a dirt bike) and I feel I need to fight for something before I die. Would any of you advise? Also can I just move to Russia then, become a citizen and join their military? Or will they deny me too for not being born there?
