Well?
>>674583655
Left side raises because OP is a faggot sage
why would the scale not get higher on the left and lower on the left? the steel ball is basically not touching any party of the scale

>>674583833
Check them
>>674583655
the side with the ping pong ball weighs more.

Damn, check em
>>674583910
You've fucked it up
nice , but it's a easy experiment , i do it last year in a chimical lab at the higtschool. we use che archimede's teory for it
hey guys can I be in your dubs thread
>>674584176
nope

Scales stay level.
>>674583922
yes! the buoyancy makes no difference but it still adds 2.7 grams of weight
The steel ball is doing literally nothing, it's suspended by a separate body.
The ping pong ball is still adding to the weight of the left side. Doesn't matter where it sits in the water, that side weighs more.
Left side goes down.
>>674583655
Left side down
>>674584398
the raw power of OP's faggotry forces the ping pong ball up towards his gaping anus, making the left side rise
>>674584398
well steel ball IS doing something, its dispersing water and air and so does the string its attached to. but other than that, the rest you said is correct
>>674584592
My bad. It's displacing the same amount of water as the ping pong ball.
wtf is going on in this thread
Assuming the balls have the same surface area and therefore the same volume of water in is in each beaker, as the meniscuses' are level, then there should be no movement.
>>674584679
>displacing not dispersing,
woops, thanks
>>674584782
But the left side weighs more because the ping pong ball is part of the total weight.
The steel ball on the right side isn't adding to the weight since it's suspended by a separate object. It's displacing water but that's it.
>>674584782
>if the balls where different sizes, the left side would STILL rise since the metal ball is not attached to the weighted medium, and even if the sizes where different, the volume of water wouldnt change, unless they where so big that the water where forced to spill out.
>>674583655
what are the dimensions of the steel ball?
what are the dimensions of the ping pong ball?
what is the ping pong ball filled with?
what are the dimensions of the containers?
how far are the containers from the fulcrum?
what are the containers filled with?
what is the environment around the entire apparatus?
>>674583655
Right side is heavier. The string only holds up that weight which isn't offset by displaced water.
Draw a FBD or something. Christ some of you are retarded.
>left side weighs more because there is a string hurr durr im so smart
One word: boyuancy
left goes up

Veritasium allready did this
Dubs?
I know it was never good but /b/ fucking sucks now.
>>674585847
that experiment uses a string
op's picture has a rigid structure holding the ball in place
