That was my first computer, too. I remember starting to use it on my own when I was 4, in 86'. Blood and Guts, Caveman Games, and Cops n' Robbers were some of my favorite games. But we had at about 150 disks, each with multiple games on there my older brother pirated and copied. His friend would bring over his 300 baud modem and they'd get onto random business networks. Seemed like they were hacking, but looking back I figure they more than likely were just viewing public text files. Good stuff....

not trolling

C-64 might be the greatest PC of all time. It had more ram than any other for like 7 years. It was wayyyyy ahead of its time. It also had GeoWorks which Microsoft stole the Windows design from.

Also: Commodore Amigas were still being use in some colleges in the early 2000s - 25 years after they came out.

Dude, we all had one. When they built the C64 from the VIC-20 design, the hardware was capable of pulling a byte at a time of the floppy, but the old firmware still did 1-bit serial transfers and they chose not to rewrite it, so the C64 came with that built-in limitation. THe cartridge replaced the firmware with routines that took full advantage of the hardware for about 5X improvement in transfers.

I learned to hack on one of these bad boys. Man, those were the fucken days.

I wish I took the games I wrote commercial instead of going to college, I would have made millions. oh well, at least I have some letters after my name. :/

It was something like this.

I was a tiger computer tower with the specs:
Pentium mmx 233 MHz.
64MB RAM
Sound blaster sound card.

I ran windows 95 all the way up to windows XP on it.
