The fact is, PC can and will likely have emulation created for PS4 at some point. The awesome thing is that you probably won't need the proprietary Sony VR gear for the VR games, the programmers will likely make it work with Oculus or whatever is current on the market at the time. It might take years, but I won't have to "pay" for a ps4 or any of the games. I'll just download them all.

Well guys, it's been fun. I've yet to see anything that supports OP's case.
One caveat though, and here is probably the most important take away even though it's not a point for either side.
Nearly all of us seem to be in agreement that VR is going to be awesome, and is the future. The one and only thing that makes PSVR a good thing, is that it will help grow the medium and convince the masses to adopt this new technology (so long as they don't fuck up the hardware and it makes large amounts of users nauseous). So Sony's market penetration might be the best thing for this burgeoning paradigm shift in media presentation.

This is what makes console fags such morons, they don't even know what they are talking about. A very high end graphics card with 2GB of onboard video ram that is capable of playing almost any video game on max settings only costs around $200-$250.
The only merit consoles had were the ability to play games on your couch/with friends at your own house, or version exclusives. And guess what? Now you can play all your steam games on your TV with a controller.
The ONLY reason to buy a console is for version exclusives. Or for portability like the NDS line.
Another thing, if VR technology actually takes off and it's popular, I give it a year before there is a superior system for PC.
