Diagnosis: Autism, OCD, Social Phobia, General Anxiety Disorder: Severe
Meds:
Klonopin .5 mg as needed
Gabapentin 600 MG twice daily
Paxil 40 MG once daily
Shit was really rough for me due to the Autism and how any changes to routine would cause my anxiety to spike to levels where I have meltdowns. Recently the increase to 1200 mg of Gabapentin daily calmed me the fuck down and I can now function semi ok for once in my life.

You messed up, you meant Psychiatry. A Psychologist cannot prescribe meds. I do get out, trust me, I work with a Psychologist where we go out into the public and work on conditioning myself to become more accustomed to those types of situations. I am legally disabled and work very hard to try and better myself and my situation. For example I paint, draw, and even make pottery. Anyways, it is pretty clear your opinion on people with disabilities is pretty poor. I'm sorry you feel that way.

mostly true, theres nothing wrong with being a bit eccentric. i have an adhd bud who hasn't taken his drugs in 8 years and is just the coolest dude. even have a grill who's depression is being cured by hot dickings and a shoulder to cry on when things get rough. yes drugs can have a place, but nowadays people often turn away from self improvement/acceptance to drugs when it'd be more constructive to work through what's going on and come out stronger for it on the other side.

I used to be a moderator for a MI forum, here's how it goes down, you have a traumatic event in your life it knocks you down, most people pick themselves up and carry on with a lot of support from good friends and family, others have shit friends and family who send them off to a doctor who diagnoses them with some bullshit MI, they then arrive at the forum thinking that now they have been diagnosed with a MI they can act like total cunts and normal rules no longer apply to them, next thing you know they are in even worse trouble than they were before they went to a doctor.
You want to get better?
1. Get better friends.
2. Get off the meds.
3. Keep away from trauma and drugs.
4. After a few months your mind will heel itself.

I didn't have a traumatic experience that caused this. These disabilities have been with me my entire life. I developed much slower then others and didn't even start speaking until around 8. Since I'm over 30 at the time I was just diagnosed as deaf when it was really Autism. I wasn't on drugs as a child or teen and yet my mind didn't heal itself. I also have a best friend who I talk to every night and see weeky. My family is also pretty supportive and I went on the meds which my disabilities became so severe I was no longer able to leave my room. I'm not entirely sure how your advice fits in since it is pretty inaccurate in my case but thank you none the less.

sometimes weed can help if that's something your open too. just a little can get my wandering mind to stop wandering. course it's nothing compared to adderall so idk, whatever works for you works for you. my adhd friend doesn't smoke often, but when he does it centers him pretty well.

Sorry man, that really sucks. I was on a TON of meds when I first needed help but eventually asked to go down to just a few. It took a while to find one that helped with a majority of my issues and that was Gabapentin. Have you asked about going on a higher dosage? 1200 mg worked fucking wonders for me.

Yeah the thing is I am already on cut-down medicine, it was far worse, tbh if I wouldnt have to function in a job I could easily get rid of Ritalin, Carbamazepin, Promethazin and probably even the HD Decanoat with increased quetipin dose, but yeah Im not going to the government and try to get NEET bucks, I mean its not hard, but a long long way to get some, even here in Germany.

I dont mean to be too cruel but I was diagnosed myself with bi-polar at the age of 35, but before that I was just called a wild child and eccentric but otherwise accepted into normal society.
I think that living a functioning life depends on you believing that you are just part of humanity as it is. Meds are not the way to go. Rather develop coping mechanisms that minimise the disruption you sometimes cause to others...and if people don't like it, then fuck them and find other people.
You cant fight who and what you are....and that is what you are doing by focusing on your "quirks" and seeing people who want to label you as ill.
