I loved the world of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. It was so stylish and cartoony, and just felt like a full blooded arcade game. I miss the zaniness of arcade games. The developers would think of general gameplay ideas (i.e. player has to "flap constantly, escape a relentlessly pursuing enemy, etxc.) and then they would create the absolute wackiest justifications for why that element was there. Like Joust, and Bubbles and pic related.
