Dont buy the DLC's. A several things take platinum, the ingame currency, but you dont need to use it. If you do use it, which you should eventually, trade some shit you farmed for it. Can actually make a decent profit from it. If you wanna buy anything for real money, wait till you get a daily bonus that lets you buy for 50% or 75% off.

You don't have to pay for anything except exclusive cosmetics. But even then, if you grind really hard (and I mean really fucking hard), you can get items that you can trade to other players for platinum, which you can use to buy any exclusive items you may not have. However, all exclusive items are purely cosmetic and will not effect how well you play. The game has a bit of a learning curve, but you absorb most of the crucial knowledge within your first week of playing. I've been playing since the closed beta and I staunchly stand by this game and its developers. Absolutely worth investing time. The game is constantly updating and changing and is only going to get better as you play it. There's also PVP gameplay; you can also play solo and cooperatively. The game's excellent; it takes thought, strategy, and finesse. Anybody who tells you otherwise is either terrible at the game or never made it far enough to go beyond gunning down low level enemies in the most basic mission types. There is also an overarching story which is also constantly updating and changing. It's really well written, but the voice acting during cutscenes and such often leaves me wanting. Play the game; it's my favorite video game ever and it's definitely not for everybody, but the growing following speaks for itself

Snow globe pretty much turns to shit when enemies reach level 100+ even with Intensify, Blind Rage, and Trans Fort. And at that point there are so many energy leeches that you can't get by without an EV Trin. If you play an endless far enough, it gets pretty hard. Sorties are nothing; they top out at lvl 80-100 enemies.

My snowglobes are fine, probably because I kill the enemies too. All you need is a zenurik focus and you'll have energy up to max whenever you have downtime between energy leech enemies.

To be fair the game stops being fun once you get into the crazy high waves. ~40 or so. Just cause everything ends up being so fucking tanky. Everything is the living embodiment of a bullet sponge unless you're running a Latron Prime or something hard-hitting.

Roar is pretty sweet, but Ancient Healers, Gunners, etc still end up being super fucking tanky. I run Mesa with Latron Prime exclusively and even with Shooting Gallery you have to get a critical, multishot to the head to kill them instantly.
I can't get those fucking flying wings because the items that are used to make them don't drop....ever....
