No. I have a new zealand rabbit (bigger than my cats) that I've been fostering for 8 months, she has a whole room to herself here. It smells a lot better and is much better for rabbits to not be in cages. It's like keeping a cat in a cat. Mine is litter trained however and uses my cats litter boxes

As someone who's been fostering this one for 8 months, go big. Larger rabbits usually have better health and temperaments than smaller rabbits, and are a lot harder to find homes for. If there are rescues in your city, search around and see if there's any that need a home.

other than that breed doesn't matter so much as upbringing. had a petting zoo rabbit who was a prick. caught a wild rabbit with my hands who was playing in traffic and she turned into an angel. carrots are BS though they do like leafy greens. dont let them sleep/live on wire cage they can get foot rot. if you get a wire cage get them a towel or a mat to sit on. if they sneeze our cough more than just once feed them some pineapple its draino for rabbits. they take to litter box real easy but cat littler dust can upset their lungs. plain pellets are fine if you spice up their diet often if not just but the fancy trailmix blend they love that shit.

No, her room is rabbit proofed, she chews her toys and huts, things she's allowed to. Left to her own devices she would definitely chew and ruin lots of things, mainly out of boredom, however I also have my guinea pigs free roaming in her room with her now and she's very much enjoying the company and her boredom has alleviated.
