It's kind of weird. "generations" are normally divided by friend groups formed in the beginning stages of being a drawfag.
The stages being
>Excitement and Participation
>Bonding and Increase in Relevance
>Boredom/Stagnation
>Filtration and Decrease in Relevance
>Death
Groups of people will come together, inspire eachother, and provide a "landing pad" for other drawfags during the general first three stages.
Anyone who appears after those stages normally isn't accepted too much into the main group/groups, so their place in history is more directly related to their active times.
A new generation is likely to begin during months that coincide with college/high school breaks.

I cannot relate to any of the new people and none of them are actually here for drawing, and half of them look up to the people who started drama back when I drew more. You can say "ignore it", we all learn that, but it doesn't change the fact that bad habits are being passed along and it's nothing but drama and shitflinging about nothing all day, 24/7.
How you get "entertaining" from this, I have no idea. I was entertained doing adventures and fights and being a team player and feeling like I had a second home here, with no bullshit arguing outside the people who just do that by themselves. I miss people who tried and were actually pretty passionate about art, even if they couldn't draw very well-- they still tried and were some of the best at interactions there ever was.
This place is like going to the middle of a nuclear fallout and just sitting down and waiting and watching, but nobody good ever comes to help or try to make things better.

When I first started threads weren't like the casual chat rooms they are now. They were one-man stages. You came in with a story, idea, or gimmick and tried to ride it as long as you could.

You establish a character, a setting, and either have some "notes" you want the overall story to hit or you just do it as you go.
You recieve ideas and actions from Anons posting. You both worth together to guide the story somewhere.

There's no objective standpoint that a drawfag has to be at to take part in drawthreads, or to be "relevant" or get requests. Even if they're circle jerking with a character like EHG or myself, they're still drawing, no matter the quality. That's the point of these, not to make some sort of high quality request factory or something. And I think it's a bit much to say people "look up" to people who started drama before, but rather they remember them in a fond manner because they weren't involved in the drama nor did they care about it. To be fair though, people like myself who come in every few months/years to join in on drawthreads, I only remember EHG because he's always fuckign here. I forgot everyone else, and I don't remember anything about EHG except demonz and his style.

A good majority are not here for drawing, and I am not expecting art level skill.
