This artist style reminds me of something called "acquired deformity" if I remember the term correctly.
It happens for example when child broke his arm or leg and because of inadequate or simple no medical treatment it healed... wrong. At first the deformity is so small it was barely noticeable, but as child grows so does the deformity. If nothing be done he will become cripple, unable to use a fucking spoon or walk like normal people. That's sad.
This is what i see in this artist style. Somewhere in his beginnings he got an idea that eyes size >50% of the skull is ok(from anime maybe, they tended to use this style is shit tear titles). And no one told him to stop, that shit. I don't know why, maybe they tried and he is just an ignorant and autistic prick.
Maybe it's totally furry community fault, cause they are know to be able to do only two things praise all types of art to god levels and shit it down...
The guy is developing i can see it, his work with shapes, color, light had improved considerably.
Like a cripple getting better with his cane and starting to walk around much faster.
