So I finally reached out and let my doctor know about my depression that I've been dealing with myself on and off for years and they gave me a few different numbers for psychiatrists.
Anyone know what kind of shit I'll have to deal with if I go through with it and talk to one of the psychiatrists?

They'll drug you andake you dependent on the pharmaceutical shit of their choosing and sell you the same placebo crap for the rest of your life. And if you go off of it, you'll be worse than before. You don't need 'professional help' you need love. And love is fucking impossible to find sometimes. Struggles of life, nigga.
Loads of talking. Be open and honest. They'll give you some dandy drugs probably early on in the treatment. Drugs alone won't do it but they sure as fuck will help with everything else.

Dont they have to diagnose you beforehand? They probably gonna make money meeting you a few times then try multiple meds and charge you every time they meet you to change the med that aint working. I say keep your money and get booze

I have been dealing with my depression now for 3 years, have been in several clinics, have visited several psyco docs and what not, have taken plenty of different medicines and nothing really helped me...
all I can tell you is, our "modern" medicine has not figured out yet to deal with depressions properly... we live in a time, where such things can't be 100% be cured for all kinds of people. I know how hard it is, I know how fucking shit you feel, believe me... but the only one who is actually capabal of helping you, is yourself! it mights sound like the words of someone who has never experienced depressions before, but... "just" get up and do something! when the world fucks you in the ass, only you are there to stand up and deal with it, there is in our time no one/nothing capabal enough f truely helping you out.

You'll also have a psychiatric record with your state that may prevent you from getting employed in certain industries, and may affect your ability to receive hospital care if the facility doesn't have in-patient psych care available, if needed. Consider this carefully.
