Titanfall was a great game, fucking awesome netcode, great optimization, a well-built universe and a phenomonal premise of face-paced pilot fights and long TTK titan fights that they totally delivered on, but it's clear that they got a third of the way through the content development cycle with the story and visual polish and then EA said GIVE US THE GAME NOW and told them to stop.
Metal Gear Solid V was probably the best game mentioned here, it delivered excellent gameplay and two-thirds of a fun and compelling story, but Kojima dicked us with that half-assed ending. Even the Island wouldn't have been enough. that plot deserved more. But it was probably worth it on gameplay alone.
