Actually, vegan the way most people do it is kind of bullshit anyway. True vegans aren't just concerned with what they eat, but all products that are made from animal products. So even though animals die (or are stripped of their protective layers ;__; boo hoo) on the regular and provide many useful products that normal people use in their daily lives (or have nothing to do with the choice ie. that leather chair you're sitting on at the doctor's office waiting for your weekly check up) they refuse to use any of it.
