I'm a military history enthusiast, and despite the fact that I'm not a nazi (still right-wing tho) , I always respected the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS for their capabilities and combat prowess, but almost every single major battle, Moscow, Kursk, Normandy, Seelow, Berlin, Creta, Cherkassy, just to name a few, are all examples of Hitler's idiocy getting in the way of his generals and turning easy victories to ridiculous defeats (especially Operation Zitadelle is a bright example of how easy it was for Hitler's military naiveness to fuck up an entire campaign). Ideals and political skills aside (Hitler was a fcken moron but damn was he a good politician), how can you admire a person whose stupidity brought hundreds of thousands of German soldiers to their needless deaths and condemned Germany to its defeat ?

The biggest mistake he made was allowing prominent Jews to leave Europe with their wealth intact before attacking western Poland. Keeping these folks hostage for a few more years would have delayed Allied commitment to start fighting.
