I replayed this game a couple of months ago and holy shit it's bad. Terrible handling (cars have to be fun to drive in a racing game ffs), "yo dawg" - dudebros that callspam you constantly, you have to mod cars to 'rice burner extraordinaire' levels in order to complete certain missions, rubberbanding and generally terrible AI etc etc

I spent so much time on SOCOM 2 online. Enowapi is still my favorite map.
It legitimately makes me sad knowing the series is dead. SOCOM was the perfect shooter. It was just the right combination of camping and run'n'gun. It had booby traps, strategic buildings, thermal scopes, camouflages earned by beating campaign, and a great community of people who ALL played with mics. The single player is great too, I still never got the seal SAS camo because I couldn't beat the embassy level on Admiral. God I fucking miss Specter, Jester, Vandal, and Wardog. The missions were so fucking cool too.
