so, a couple of anons were saying my paint was in shitty condition. Which all they were seeing is the scenery in my clearcoat.

Besides a few chips in the hood, a scratch in the front bumper, and some oxidation in the headlights, the car is in pretty perfect condition.

In all honesty, i can afford one, but i cant "afford" one. Wife and i have no kids, are a one car household, make 140k a uear together, and only have a $1300 mortgage.

So $55-75k car (used of course), or 401k.

OP here, the Z34s are actually pretty great cars. I personally think the Nismo Z34's are not worth the pricetag, but all the other ones are pretty fucking sweet cars. And not a bad pricetag for the other Z34's. Is your's an enthusiast model?
>>
>>671574387
What's the wifey driving?
>>
>>671574897
These still aren't bad cars. The EXs are probably the best model of the price. But, what's up with those rims?

And nice car /b/ro. Those things can run forever if you take care of them.
>>
>>671575589
Yeah I didn't have the extra cash for a nismo, and yeah they are overpriced. I found a good deal on a sport tech at about half of a retail one with 10k miles so I picked it up. Not really an enthusiast model IMO, nismo takes that catagory.

Well, Nissan makes an actual Enthusiast Model of the Z-cars. It's always lighter weight, Brembos, upgraded rims, better tires, and always just a little faster due to weight reduction.

Jesus, fuck that. Good job, but I had a car wreck once that makes me hesitant due to extensive surgeries. I'd like to time trial something involving lots of speed changes and turns though. Fuck that's fast. My favorite part is nobody sees it coming since the standard focus is so "meh" and they don't recognize the SVT.

Type R's and Mugen's are pretty badass Civics.

Also, the SVT Focus and Saleen N2O Focus are pretty badass cars themselves. They shouldn't be underestimated. On the highway, they can pull like a motherfucker.

And SVT made their Focus into a purpose built track car. Just like they did with the Terminator Cobras.

Fast isn't just top end. You'll never use top end. He will smoke off the line, 1/4 mile, and anything street. I.e. what 99.9% of cars are used for. Top end only matters on a straight, and if you're somewhere that it's legal unless you're just so edgy that you're racing 200mph on a highway frequently.

1) I own four cars. And a house. Not poor as anything.

2) I'm putting money into making it fast, after that I will put money into making it look better. It's only minor shit and it doesn't really matter.

3) Carbon Fiber parts are kind of pointless unless the entire car is carbon fiber. Literally, 9 hp negates each 100 lbs. So, I could spend $60k on my car to make it all carbon fiber and weigh maybe 300 lbs lighter... or, I could just gain 20 hp. Oh wait, I'll be gaining vastly more than that.

4) My insurance for my Cobra is $85 a month for full coverage.

5) That's not where I live. It's a buddy's apartment. I never take pics of where I live. That's dumb to post pics of where you live and post them on 4chan.

Bought my first car from Bob Shapton (I think the meets still end up at his house in Caledon)... Was also in the Ontario MR2 club for a while. Found this clean RA24 rolling chassis near Calgary for $1300 and the 7M for $900 with trans. Got about $5k into it so far for the car, engine, and all the rebuild parts.

Constant debate among Subaru tuners; to tune or not to tune when adding an up pipe. Personally, I would tune for every aspect of the exhaust system which has a sensor. You don't want it going super lean or super rich which would obviously fuck something up. The maps from Cobb have different parts requirements so you will have to read and choose the best one for your setup, and your region based on fuel octane ratings.

I'm more of a fan of Flowmasters on the 4 cam engines rather than Roush, Borla, or Bassani. Flowmaster just give them that classic muscle deep rumble. And Roush, Borla, and Bassani are too raspy in higher RPMs then I like.

If you ever want to ditch the Roush axel-backs, then get Flowmaster Super 10's or Flowmaster 40 series with no cats.

as much as i like that deep old school rumble, i actually like the raspier sound on the mustang
i was seriously considering the flow masters at the time though
i would run catless and all these other nice things, but north carolina somehow has emission laws
...never would have though a southern state would have something like that
i'm used to straight piped trucks from alabama all over the place

You're should beat mine if it's 670 rwhp. But, not if its 670 bhp. Also, it it would need suspension work and a good tune. Otherwise you might not get enough traction to beat me.

But, if you have that, then it's a safe bet that you would outrun me.

I've had it for a couple of years now. By the end of the year, maybe a year and a half, I'll be getting a precision twin turbo kit for it and running a compound boost setup.
