Nearly everyone that has a strong opinion about him either way knows very little about his platform and ideas. It is a media driven reaction in the extreme, either pro or con.
If you read through his platform, you come up with a compilation of some of the ideas of several candidates on both sides.
Trump is in favor of replacing the ACA with single-payer plan that Bernie and Jill Stein want. However, he specifies that such a plan would bankrupt the social net if it was extended to illegals and a flood of refugees. Instead, he wants to combine that with the deportation of all illegals, a strong border and no acceptance of refugees unless they are thoroughly vetted and can be gainfully employed.
I can't see any of his ideas ever getting through Congress. He would be less viable than Jimmy Carter. But it really would help if his supporters AND haters would take the time to read what he proposes, instead of simply jumping on the bandwagon
