It's a manga that's been running for 20+ years now, and it's pretty incredible. One of the things that's most interesting about it, is that the author has basically reinvented himself in his style several times throughout the series, while still keeping it true to its roots. During the first 10 volumes (referred to collectively as the "Golden Age" arc), it's basically gritty 80s style manga of purely dark medieval warfare, becoming borderlined historical fiction. but in volumes 11-12+ literally hell opens up and pours itself onto earth evil dead style but in a completely serious manner. Over the next ~5 volumes you have every bit of bad in his world corrupted and risen to full blown demonic rape-fests; corrupt priests burning everyone at the stake, packs of roving goblins kidnapping women, raping and impregnating them to make more monsters, an evil god-emporer who tries to take over the world etc. It then turns into a traditional swords/sorcery fantasy where Guts assembles a team of rag-tag heroes to destroy the five God Hands of hell, one of whom was his best friend and rival during the Golden Age.
no one gives a fuck

Sorry it's not your cup of tea, anon.

Hey 911, what's new?
>>684533938
Played some more Doom and went through the campaign to unlock all the classic levels, gonna give them a try some other time. Other than that, tried playing some of the multiplayer but I'm still not a big fan of it, might try it some more another time. Other than that, watched new Re Zero and stuff, you?
>>684534436
Do a lot of people play multiplayer?
How was no Re Zero, also?
Not too much, downloaded new Flying Witch, so gonna have to watch that. Watched The Admiral which was pretty good.
>>684534759
Not too sure actually, can take me a while to get into a game so either there's not a lot of people playing or the netcode is just shit and can't match people to games.
>How was no Re Zero, also?
Episode was pretty good, had drama but it was pretty well done in my opinion.
>downloaded new Flying Witch
Still gotta download & watch that myself actually.
End of Volume 10 Chapter 10
was just thinking about starting to read this because I keep hearing about it form dark souls. Thanks for the links based anon.
Onto Chapter 11
>>684535181
Good stuff, always a fan of well-done drama.
It's such a nice show, Chinatsu is hands-down the cutest.
>>684535367
I've been meaning to play Dark Souls because off Berserk, actually.
My pleasure, hope you enjoy it!
>>684535729

>>684536957
thanks nigger-kun
>>684537377
No problem.
>>684537632
how do I download the torrent without getting in trouble?
>>684538235
If you want, can look into getting a VPN or using a seedbox. I've never gotten into VPNs so I'm not much help there, but Google has all those answers.
For something like Berserk, and pretty much all anime/manga, you're fine to torrent. Unless you're using a workplace or university internet connection, you should be fine. The worst you'll get is a letter asking you to stop and you can ignore them most of the time.
Still if you want, a VPN would be your next best option.
>>684538760
oh ok. thats what i figured. thanks again based anon. i'm already reading the first one, forgot that you have to read from right to left. shit wasn't making sense.
>>684534441
>Gatts
why. It's the hawk-falcon thing all over again.
>>684539307
I think the big anti-torrenting thing has died down a little, and Japanese media never's been that big on the radar as far as I know.
>>684540104
The good scanlations had a lot of files over 4chan's image size limit last I remember.
>>684540286
bah, the ones I have do the same thing. Got them from bakabt and they usually have pretty high quality stuff. You get used to Gatts pretty quick, the band of the falcons is much more annoying. I get through 95% of the manga with the hawks and suddenly it's falcons. That half a second of hesitation always jars me out of the story.
>>684540952
It's not the greatest situation, Berserk deserves better.
Oh well, after the 4th read-through you don't really mind it anymore.
>>684541251
Haven't read the last few chapters myself. Heard they got off the boat. I want more content before I start a reread.
Have you seen the movie series they made? Worth watching? Honestly the CGI threw me off from the one I watched, hopefully the new tv series stays away from that.
>>684541748
New chapters have been good, off the boat which is great, had a nice fight scene, nothing too crazy though.
The movies are bad on their own, CGI isn't great, though it did get better. Worth watching if you're into Berserk, though.
I have some hope for the new series. We're finally get post-Eclipse content animated which is pretty hype.
>>684542581
Yea the original series was actually quite well done. I felt they did a better job of fleshing out the Band of the Hawk than the actual manga did. But yea, seeing the Black Swordsman arc will be quite nice, here's hoping they don't screw it up. Well I'm off to bed anon, good night. Wouldn't mind popping in another one of these threads some time.
>>684543060
The atmosphere of the original series was pretty amazing, the visuals and music really captured the Golden Age Berserk in my opinion.
'night, feel free to stop in anytime, we'll be here every day until forever.
