Yeah i know how it feels. I've had my share of depression. I find that if you just take time to focus on yourself and 'reset' works for me.
If you knew of me more you'd know that i try to be happy most of the time.
I read a article on the plasticity of the brain. It basicly explained that the brain is mallable and will make new neural connections based on the overall mood, situation, location and simulation that it process's. This allows for the brain to adapt and permantly change the way you think and thus your outlook on things. So being happy will make your mind happy and vica versa.
