for those not in the know
Neil Cicirega. YES.
The Ocarina of Rhyme
the jay z version of no hook with the meeting the owl song is dope if you can find it
Witness this fucking greatness. My dad roomed with one of these dudes in college lol
I'm voting for this!
shadow of intent
Ice Nine Kills - Every Trick In The Book
i fucking love this album
Thank me later
i was getting there, i've been posting a few >>702593466
this is all me samefagging
I know that Pierce the Veil is emo as fuck but I really enjoyed Misadventures
That has always been the Chan's audience boyo
I think vampyre of time and memory is too similar to like clockwork, but still 10/10
i probably like you too, anon.
it's good, but aenima is my hands down favourite
This will always be posted at some point in best album threads and for good reason
Both are great albums, but Portrait is such a different sound from Antichrist Superstar that it's almost like they are from two different bands, although I suppose the same could be said about almost all of Marilyn Manson's albums.
Not 10/10 but fucking amazing
Don't have a 10/10 album, but do a have a God Tier album.
shit didn't know it was out hadn't checked for quite awhile
Anyone fuck with Papadosio?
No doubt. Dying is Your Latest Fashion is one of the best albums ever.
Great Taste OP.
If anyone doesn't know. OP pic is Dying is your latest fashion.
In case anyone wants to hear this masterpiece.
I like Blood Oath better but Suffocation all around is badass.
I met clipse when I was working at schlotzkies one day in NC
they were pretty chill, not at all like the scary nigger gangsters in their videos
I was the only one there working that recognized them
I was like "Hey, are you guys clipse?"
they were like "yeh mang what it do can I get an original with no black olives, add me dem yellow peppers"
I was like "Sure"
was bretty cool
They're less melodic and accessible than say Sodom or Kreator but the thing that keeps me coming back is the fucking onslaught of riffs. Eternal Devastation is Riff heaven (Or shall I say hell?)
Garbage production though. So thin it hurts your ears after a while.
I'd choose Dying is Your Latest Fashion faster than Kid A or In The Aeroplane Over The Sea or any other bullshit /mu/ would pick.
This album did define the scene, was a masterpiece at the time (and still is) and was one of the main reasons why the genre is so popular now.
Everyone has their taste in music.
Fuck yes. Cynic is beautiful and powerful music. Already have Focus and ordered Traced In Air and Kindly Bent To Free Us today. Probably will order Carbon Based Anatomy next paycheck.
Misadventures is becoming better each month it passes. Good choice!
Monolith and The Harvest Floor are my favorites no doubt. New one is good. Not crazy about their older stuff to be honest. The Harvest Floor is where they really found themselves. Travis himself said he felt like that was their first real album.
>posting anything other the BTMKTC
I was there when this band began and they were called Lutikriss
>before skinny jean faggotry
>before screaming was even a thing
When BTMKTC came out, I saw them at the lincoln theatre in raleigh.
Everyone there couldn't believe what they had just seen. It was that amazing.
It took a huge shit on everything we thought we knew about music. Nonsensical repetition and rhythms... stopping and going... dissonance... it was seriously the most difficult thing to listen to (enjoyably)
But when you listened hard enough and long enough, eventually it clicked. Eventually you got it. Josh Scogin said that he wanted to make music that wasn't instantly gratifying... that made you work for it. Boy, did he do that with BTMKTC.
It was his way of creating something out of nothing only to destroy it. He left after this album. I can't say that Norma Jean will ever create anything that comes close to that masterpiece.
Alot of people don't like their newest because it isn't metal but i still fucking love it. I own Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy, Human and Symbolic.
Took me a long time to get into Pestilence but now that I have i fucking love them.
honestly never heard Demon Days, im just hating cause i see it posted in every single music thread. but you should have been done with My Chemical Romance by the time you were 20.
Mcr music is still good to me, so I don't see why I should be done with it if its something I like and I'm not being some aspie who is hurting people of making people uncomfortable. And why hate demon days if you've never heard it? Give it a listen, it's some 11/10 shit
