You run around outside and inside three castles looking for three differently colored keys to the gates of these castles. There some very plainly decorated rooms and there are mazes within and without. You can find a sword to defeat a dragon that randomly "chases" you, albeit quickly. One of the rooms has a yellow cup. Another has an Easter Egg. Oh your inputs to the game are a mere 5 bits. One for the Enable/Action/Use/Somesuch button input and another four for the cardinal directions. The input allows secondary direction input aswell.
The graphics, sound, and speed of the action made you forget it was less than 2.5 dimensional graphics. I believe it had somewhat less than 256 colors but i may be mistaken.
