And finally, grades are an objectivley poor measure of intellect. A number derived from the amount of assignments completed in a classroom cannot possibly tell you the actual intelligence of a child. I think the fundamental misstep people have with my logic is exactly what you said, but I would argue that although unlikely it is by no means impossible. Mankind, as infantile and petty as we are, are constantly evolving both mentally and socially. We know from our history and biology that mankind are some of the most social animals on earth, and we live in a pack, just as wolves and other animals do. This is important, we live as a pack, not a herd. A herd exists so many can survive at the exchange of the few who can be left behind. A pack exists so the whole can survive and work together. Yes packs have alphas, but these are more figures of leadership and guidance, rather then autarchs who take all and leave the rest as servants. Even the alpha will work and care for his pack as a whole. Humans were no different before we had the chance to become greedy and form more advanced power structures.
