I own a single gun, a pistol. I mostly bought it for target practice, and I keep it loaded for home protection. But I never carry it, I don't even have a CCW (but easy to obtain in my state.)
I'm sure there are some situations where I might need it someday, but I will just be fucked when that day arrives. I carry a knife on me anyways, so if someone wants to shoot me.. well fuck me. But if someone wants to fist fight or knife fight, I'm ready.

As long as it's in season & you have a hunting license, proper tags. The state's firearm laws a very reasonable, but they thankfully strictly enforce hunting laws to protect game populations. Hunting license is only $20/ year & game tags are $5/ a piece with a limit of 2 deer per person per year.
