People arguing for "living wages" are retarded. There will always be some percentage of the population at the economic bottom. Instead of complaining those people should invest in themselves to increase their earning potential. God forbid somebody takes responsibility for their own life.
>>767703423 Kind of this. It's sad, but a full 50% of niggers are functionally useless. And this is according to the US Military, you have seen the dregs they take in haven't you? About 15% of whites have an IQ below 85, The military says anyone with an IQ under 83 cannot be trained to do anything useful.
So there is a large chunk of our population that is functionally worthless. There is nothing they can do to solve this, and it's not really their fault. What do we do about these people?
>>767703746 The bigger problem is that the very bottom class also reproduce more/faster. And to make matters worse, their lower intellect tends to lead them into more physically violent style of activism.
And as for your bit on the military, they don't use IQ. They have their own test that is way easier to pass. Yes, there are functionally retarded people in the military. They usually just do the menial labor and grunt duty. Very transferable to big business
>>767702247 Also this is stupid, there is currently like 4 million fast food workers in the us, assuming something like 400,000 work in the US and the avg minimum wage salary being 7.25 per hour, bumping all these workers to 7.75 would be what, 3 million per hour? Keep in mind they are already paid 2.9 million per hour, still thats over a 100 percent cost in labor alone.
But still, comparing a 10 million annual raise, to a 3 million per hour raise across all workers...
Fucking retarded, and thats why the creator of that image makes 7.25 an hour.
>>767704180 Big companies should do employee lotteries. Every year they give ten employees $100,000. A small enough amount to not potentially ruin their lives, but a large enough amount to be life changing.
>>767702247 If they don't have a "living wage", then they are dying due to lack of it. Since the worst that has happened is that they couldn't afford the new iPhone, you can't say they don't have a "living wage".
>>767704510 >We gave this woman a license. I'm all for the right to travel, and I'm against drivers licensing, but I'm very for revoking this right from individuals. If you're extremely stupid, you have no place on our roads.
>>767702247 hilariously if you raised every workers salary a dollar an hour and reduced the CEO's from 10, not 14 million and im not sure where that number came from, to only 1 million capped with no bonus or additional pay you would still end up paying more even if literally every employee only worked 30 hours a week.
>>767702247 >Why don't we pay high school dropouts as much as we pay a guy who has 7 years of experience running major corporations. I really hope they do raise the wages by law though, I'm like 9 months off finishing my CS bachelor and since I majored in data science having automation explode could be great for my potential earnings in the coming years.
>>767705632 This isn't a question of eugenics. Two 135iq parents can have a 75iq child. And two 80iq parents can have a 140iq child. Are you proposing we have a genocide machine constantly killing off the "Lessers"? Who decides who's lesser?
>>767705814 the salary is meaningless. plenty of fortune 500 companies have CEO's with fucking nothing as a salary. it's about having shares in the company. a couple million is a drop in the bucket, frankly.
>>767705846 I'm suggesting we let people fend for themselves, that people who are smart and successful should be allowed to keep their resources so that they can put those resources into their children. Also the chances against 2 80iq parents having a child with a 3 digit iq is small enough to not be worth considering and the chance that even if they did that child would be able to function in a way that is useful to society is so close to 0 it's not even worth making the point in a theoretical debate.
>>767705846 i think we should subsidize pro-eugenic choices, rather than punishing those with weak genes.
for example, you get some amount of money, or a tax break, if you voluntarily sterilize yourself.
or, mandatory screening for genetic diseases like huntingtons, downs, etc. and monetary rewards for aborting those children, or perhaps free abortions in that case.
you have to concede that we could eradicate a lot of genetic diseases at the very least, which would significantly improve overall quality of life. it would only take a single generation to eradicate heritable genetic diseases. then no one has to have them. ever.
>>767702247 but they only have one ceo but millions of minwagers so one dollar per minwager more is like 800 millions, while he just gets like 9.
also, if the people were smart they would just get a job that pays, and then mcd would not find people to do the work for that price. mcd rises wage, people come. boom, democracy and capitalism at work.
>>767706127 No you couldn't. Genetic diseases that persist are usually recessive. You're going to genocide entire family lineages because one guy 300 years ago had a disease? You're going to try to genetically test everyone on the planet? What about unforeseen consequences from this? You could end up creating a race of untermensch on accident because you killed off all the people with good genes because of some genetic disease common in their pools. At this time in our existence, a time where we are battling to keep the useful races alive, I don't believe it's a good idea to start genociding those smart enough to care about this.
>>767705031 >if you don't like the McDonald's CEO or CFO stop eating there Yup, that's what he said alright. >what are you a fucking commie? only commies want higher wages for shitty grunt workers. You sir are and idiot. A rising tide raises all ships.
>>767706789 It's stupid to bring downies into the world. And if you knew before a child was born that it would have a genetic disease, it would be best to pass. But we're not technologically there no matter how many times you read "WE FUTURE NOW" in the headlines. The research needed on the human genome to perform this like you say is decades out best case.
>>767705538 Your reading comprehension makes me think you are in the 10% of functionally retarded people so often mentioned in this thread. He said they should be paid a living wage. 14 million is not a living wage, it's a lavish, unethical, tribute to capitalist consumerism. If you weren't baiting, I hope you die soon. You are truly an awful human being. >hurr durr u mad? Damn right I'm mad. Fuck you!
>>767706600 some people don't deserve more money. and sure the water rising will raise ships with it, but it will destroy established sea shore business and important infrastructure. by enabling retards to live above their means and giving them more money not only do we have the retards working less time but they feel like they matter, and that's dangerous.
mcdonalds employs 1.5 million people. For argument's sake, say 90% are low wage restaurant employees. It's probably more, but ehh, I'm not going to be fucked to look up actual numbers.
So, 1.35 million low wage workers would get a 6 dollar boost to around 15 bucks/hr. Err on the low side just to give these retards an example. 20 hrs/wk, not even full time. 1.35 million x 6 bucks x 20 hrs/wk x 52 wks/yr.
1,350,000 x 6 dollar boost = 8,100,000 8,100,000 x 20 hrs/wk = 162,000,000 buckaroos 162,000,000 x 52 wks/yr = 8,424,000,000
So, giving a "living wage" results in an 8.4 billion dollar liability compared to that "OMG I KNOW HOW THE JEWS IN THE OVENS FELT 14 million" raise.
McDonald's has over a million employees, between corporate and franchises. Let's assume half of them (rounding down to 500,000) are making minimum wage (actual minimum wage doesn't matter) at 10 hr/week. This is obviously an underestimate.
Let's say he increases their wages by 1c an hour -- the bare minimum. That's 10c per employee under consideration per week, or $50,000 per week. So $2.6 million a year for a 1c raise, with extremely conservative numbers.
So the raise OP is talking about represents significantly less than a 5.4c raise for employees, which on a 10 hour week represents about $2 extra a month. Does that bring us into living wage territory?
>>767706480 Yes, but "they crime" each other because it's hard to ride the bicycle they stole all the way to the rich neighborhood. This in turn makes them shoot each other more often thus eliminating more nignogs at a faster rate.
I've thought this all through anon. Also, I mean less crimes at McDonalds.
>>767707031 If you knew anything about economics you'd know that we need a class of obscene earners to finance private sector innovation. If no one were buying super cars, car tech would improve every very slowly.
Shut the fuck up. That is seriously the worst fucking excuse you capitalist turds can use. That's like saying 'well you use comcast so you get what you deserve'. What the fuck difference does it make when they're the only game in town? Fucking corporate apologist douche.
That's what's been happening in the United States for the past several decades. Nature takes its course, but it doesn't take the course you want it to.
As we let "nature take it's course"(sic), property crimes increase. Incarceration rates skyrocket, fueling the prison industrial complex, and consuming tax dollars. Why? Because people who are in need will start making desperate choices. Once those choices show reward far in excess of "doing things the right way", people start favouring them over walking the "straight and narrow".
We'd be a lot better off if everyone who worked 40 hrs (or close to it) a week could afford to live off of that. It would cost us less in the long run, because the "human cost" (incarceration, years going through 'the system', leaving a person unemployable, etc) is what is really costing society.
It's too ineffective to just say, "eh, let nature take its course"; it creates more problems than it solves.
>>767706952 i mean it's really not. you can get full gene sequencing through companies like 23andme or anceestry right now. they'll detect as many genetic anomalies as they can.
my mom got it done for example, and she carries both APOE3 alleles, which means she's at less risk for alzheimer's.
we can detect these things. i've got a family friend who underwent IVF, and they sequence the genome of the zygotes before implantation. even right now, we can be a hell of a lot more sure about genetic disease, compared to rolling the dice and hoping with a normal pregnancy.
sure there's a long way to go, but we may be further along than you think we are.
>>767707240 nigger I live in an actual landfill because of my soda problem poor people are fucked because they are dumb and deserve it I am poor not because my "daddy" doesn't give me a dollar and I buy hundreds of dollar's in capitalist made high fructose syrup every month.
>>767707177 Eat shit communist. You cancerous motherfucker. If you were in my face right now I'd cut you from asshole to chine, set you on fire and piss on your ashes. I'd save you asshole and mail it to your family so they can have something to bury, in shame.
>>767706474 lmao acting like this will change OP's mind. Its just mindless drivel that he sees on facebook and believes that he's being wronged from "the rich guys" instead of taking responsibilities from his own shortcomings
>>767707600 I work 45-50 hours a week and one tenth my income goes to this syrup because I'm stupid, I would be able to live at a higher standard in a better home with nicer things if I stopped drinking it. the problem aint the pay or the product it's retardation
>>767707031 >It's lavish unethical How and why? People tend to earn what they deserve, if they deserved more than they were getting then they could just move to another job, and if they can't then they are getting what they deserve. Also not joking, those jobs will be gone soon b/c automation is getting cheaper and more efficient and at the same time the cries for a 15$ minimum wage are growing.
>>767706600 you might actually be retarded. People that work low skill jobs deserve low pay. The vast majority of employees in low skilled jobs are tertiary earners/dependents in a family. Artificially raising these wages will raise prices and will actually harm poor fags that work hard but are too stupid to move up in life.
>>767707754 The high cost of this tech trickles down. This is tech that wouldn't be developed without a market for it. No one needs any of these modern things we have. But once upon a time, the cell phone and personal computer were items the wealthy were funding the development of. The only other source of this sort of development is government bodies. But the private sector has proved time and time again to do it faster, and more cheaply than any government ever can.
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
I went to McDonald's today and got a Filet-O-Fish combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. I was eating it in my vehicle in the parking lot and listening to an audiobook when I glanced up and saw the McDonald's worker I ordered outside having a cigarette. She waved at me and I nodded and had to wait 7 minutes before she went back inside and I could eat in comfort again. I don't think that employees should be bothering or even trying to socialize with customers outside of the McDonald's restaurant or drive through, but that is another story. I went to McDonald's for dinner tonight and got a McChicken combo with a bacon cheeseburger on the side. As I was driving to the second window the same girl was still working. She was acting somewhat obsequious and attempting small talk when she asked, 'why don't you come eat inside instead of in the parking lot where it is cold'. That really bothered me for many reasons. First of all, I don't want my routine or actions to be tracked by a fast food employee. Secondly, she should not try to tell me how I should live my life. I do not want to eat inside because I find it less comfortable and would much rather be inside my vehicle listening to an audiobook and enjoying myself and my privacy. Overall, I think it was very unprofessional to bring this up. I should have a clean slate with each drive through visit, not have to get the third degree because I committed some sort of faux pas. Which I don't think I did, because I often see people eating in fast food parking lots. How does she know I am not busy going to work or somewhere in a rush? How do you feel about eating in your vehicle in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant versus eating inside the restaurant?

>>767707996 My McDonalds has ordering kiosks too. And the store manager actually stands at the registers directing customers over to the kiosks. Then an employee typically has to go over and aid the customer in placing their order on the machines. I now actively avoid that McDonalds because I don't like those kiosks. Just like lots of people avoid self check out in supermarkets.
>>767707870 It's lavish because you can live a happy and fulfilling life with much much less. It's unethical because it's at the expense of others. People tend to earn what they deserve?!? How are you qualified to say what people deserve for the work they do?
This is a 4/10 bait but it gives me a reason to rant about something that’s on my mind. Those people that work at McDonald’s are subhumans, they don’t deserve a cent pay raise. If they cared about making money they would just get a factory job. People bitch that blue collar jobs are dead, but they are quite alive. I work at ups during the weekdays and a brewery during the weekends and I make around 45,000 a year. This includes full coverage on health, vision, and dental. I work everyday but my schedule allows me to sleep in and go out once or twice a week.
>>767702247 McDonalds is an entry level job for new workers, if you want a livable wage, work something that pays it. Plus if you raise the minimum wage, the price of living increases as well, literally making the ratio of paycheck to cost of living the same as before, just inflated. Use your brain.
>>767708537 >People tend to earn what they deserve That's a pretty stupid statement. In a workers market that is true. But in an employers market that's very untrue. In the west we haven't hard a workers market in most fields in decades. Without federal minimum wages people would be earning less. The supply of work is higher than the demand for it. If you turn down this job for $1.25 an hour, you might not be able to get another that high.
>>767708576 This is a 4/10 bait but it gives me a reason to rant about something that’s on my mind. Those people that work for other people are subhumans, they don’t deserve a cent pay raise. If they cared about making money they would quit their jobs and create them for others. People bitch that blue collar jobs are dead, but they are quite alive. I created a software and security company which employs over 30 people, but I make around 600k a year. I work everyday but my schedule allows me to sleep in and go out once or twice a week.
>>767709187 The problem is that in the west we've created a massive divide in skill groups for work. All of our middle tier skilled work has been shipped over seas, and since we've been brain draining over seas countries we're bringing in immigrants to take the skilled jobs, building a huge group of mid skilled indivudlads native to our countries with no employment opportunities. And with the pay grade and fear of over-qualified employees, we end up with the bottom of the barrel working the low skill/entry level jobs, the high skill jobs being taken by foreigners, and the rest of us unemployed.
>>767703964 What's grotesque to me is that in this country we even let mongoloid idiots with chromosomal defects marry and have children so that they can perpetuate their disability and their dependencies on another generation. I don't know why, but chemical sterilization fell out of fashion in the '60s and I don't like it. Half of the staff at my fucking University are imbeciles. They even let them prepare food.
>Once upon a time, Men did most of the worked, and women stayed at home >Man supported him self, his family with one good job >women decided they wanted to go to work more >Labor pool almost doubles in size >More people looking for work = more competition for jobs >more competition for jobs = lower pay for jobs that are easy to fill >jobs pay less, requiring more work for more money >two incomes/jobs now needed to support a family
Want to make more money for basic, unskilled jobs? Send the women back home, so there is less competition for jobs. Do not have babies that need to be supported on welfare, so there is less need to tax people's pay.
Those jobs need to be done at the end of the day. If they need a person to staff them, then the person who does it deserves a livable wage.
I would challenge that any job in the fast food industry is monumentally more difficult than say, a position as a bank teller. Just because society looks down on it, and thinks "anybody with a pulse can do it", does not make it so.
>>767708223 Sanders was only a pied piper to get the retarded alt-left to vote for Hillary. There never was any race, it was just like a wrestling show. Hillary was booked to go over and Sanders to do the job. Only problem is that the DNC thought they wouldn't have alienated a good part of their voters during the election, but then again the same would've happened if Sanders was the Democrat nominee since the guy is (or appeared to be) batshit insane and borderline demented.
McDonald's corporate employs 375000 people. Franchisees employs another 1.5 million, which is where I misread the information. Going by McD's direct employees alone, say the US has a quarter of them, and round the low wage workers down to about 80k. Multiplying those 80k employees by the hourly increase to a "living wage" and low part time per year, still comes out to about 500 million per year increase. It's still a significant difference to the supposed 14 million per year these leftists are pissed about. Wikipedia still lists the CEO's salary as 1 million.
