One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Those jobs need to be done at the end of the day. If they need a person to staff them, then the person who does it deserves a livable wage.
I would challenge that any job in the fast food industry is monumentally more difficult than say, a position as a bank teller. Just because society looks down on it, and thinks "anybody with a pulse can do it", does not make it so.

McDonald's corporate employs 375000 people. Franchisees employs another 1.5 million, which is where I misread the information. Going by McD's direct employees alone, say the US has a quarter of them, and round the low wage workers down to about 80k. Multiplying those 80k employees by the hourly increase to a "living wage" and low part time per year, still comes out to about 500 million per year increase. It's still a significant difference to the supposed 14 million per year these leftists are pissed about. Wikipedia still lists the CEO's salary as 1 million.
